I should've left "@ MSRP" portion out at the title.
What I simply meant if all models of Shield were readily available what will be your reaction?
Buy one?
If so which model? If you already bought one, please choose that model to vote as one of the YES options.

Or simply vote for NO option if you are not interested in buying a Shield no matter what!

Thanks,

I never paid as much as MSRP for any firearm.
I got my Shield for $390.

I voted that I would, since I did. And, since they are selling around here (and in a lot of other places) for more than MSRP, I'd buy one for MSRP if I was going to buy one.

i paid msrp,in the grand scheme of things what's 50 bucks if you want something that is hard to find.i've paid alot less for guns that were worth more as well,it all equals out in the long run.

I voted yes I would buy at MSRP and I probably will. I really don't want to stand in a line for months. That shield is not the only gun that is hard to find. The guys that paid way over prices by a $100 or even $200, or even double due to fear may need their money come tax time or summer vac.. I will not feel bad if I buy from them for what their guns are really worth. In fact I'm counting on it. A mother with hungery children is far more fierce than anything that may be hiding in them woods.

If a Shield was at the LGS for retail it sure beats driving around and walking gun shows looking for something you most likely will not readily find just to save a few bucks especially with gas at $3.50 plus a gallon!

of all the concealed carry style guns that have been on the market in 380 or 9 m m in the bast few years, the shield is hands down the best gun made.S W hit a home run with this gun.And i even throw in the walther pps, which has a better trigger, but more recoil and ergos are worse. My opinion is shared by at least 20 men and women who have bought a shield that i know.its a great gun,not worth 200 to 300 more, but at msrp, its a great gun

I'm not considering buying one... Already have the .40.

But, knowing how much I like it, I'd pay MSRP if I didn't have one.

I bought my Shield 9 for less than MSRP.
I really like it, and would pay more than MSRP if I had to.

This thread ignores the fact that it's almost impossible to find one that cheap (MSRP). The question ought to be, "How excited would you be if you found a Shield at MSRP?":D Go over to GB and you can find a new one for $650.

No kidding! I have about 10 in my watchlist "just in case" by some miracle one goes for something close to MSRP. I'm not holding my breath though. At some point I would like to pick up the 9mm version but I am not going to pay an arm and a leg for one.

I already bought my Shield 9 last April under MSRP and one in the first run made. It's well broken in and ZERO problems. Just like the rest of my M&P's.

Some of us were well ahead of the game and had ours ordered when we saw them in gun magazines and heard/saw them at Shot Show last year. It was the single stack EVERYONE just had to have, wanted and wished would be made...

Then some said they were going to wait and see if they had any bugs in the first run and let them get worked out first. LMAO ! S&W has the best warranty going and bugs were my last thought.

Then most of the people Freaked out with the "Gun Ban" worries and that set the stage for where things are now,swamped,back-ordered and EVERYTHING WAY overpriced.

So,Snoose Ya loose. It's all a waiting game now.

I paid over MSRP. The amount of time and energy I was spending just trying to find one, the extra $100 started to look like a bargain. I have no regrets....I have one. :)

I have a LNIB Glock G26 Gen 4 with night sights I am trying to trade for a Shield in 9mm. So, I guess I'm willing to pay more than retail considering I hear the G26's are also tough to find, plus have a higher retail than the Shield.

No wouldn't pay MSRP, saw two at Northwest Armory in Milw OR yesterday for 399.00. Both in 9mm, the 40 cal sold real quick. I have the 9mm and really like it.

No thanks. I already turned down the chance to buy one under retail when they first came out. I'm not a fan of manual safeties to begin with and being left handed I definitely didn't want a gun with a non ambidextrous safety. I bought a Kahr instead and haven't looked back.

More than a few shops around Seattle have the Shield in stock right now, all asking $600/ea. I usually ask them when they think the price gouging may go away. They usually just kindly laugh and say it's hard to say. :)

I ordered one over a month ago at below MSRP and I'm still waiting. If one shows up at another LGS, I may get it as I'm tired of the wait. My FS M&P 9 was also below MSRP and I bought the last one they had.

I was just notified today that my .40 Shield is being shipped. I paid about $50 over MSRP and after waiting more than a month I was glad to do it.
