Windows 10!

I'm running Win 10 on a dual boot system on my desktop. Been on for 4 days now and no problems other than having to move some stuff over from my Win 7 partition to the Win 10 partition.
Edge seems to work OK, but also have Firefox installed. Edge is a little bit faster, or so it seems. All the programs I've moved so far work or have self-updated to work in Win 10.

Same here all is good day 2 :) Just a learning curve for this old fart lol I think I have all the MS sharing stuff off.. But my PC does seem to be a bit smoother

Cats and dogs living together total anarchy!

Refuse to be windows crash test dummy!

I updated several weeks ago. I've had zero issues with crashes, updates, and all of my programs work great. Seems much faster as well. Not as much of a memory hog as 8.1 was.

I'll wait a year or two until everyone has worked all the bugs out. I only switched to Win 7 from XP 2 years ago. I use Firefox and I don't do anything unusual. It does all I need.

My windows 10 update is that I'm typing this on my tablet since my laptop, which has worked flawlessly for 4 years, that I updated to windows 10 last week gave me the kernel security check fail screen (aka the Blue Screen of Death) this morning and will not boot at all. Has not been a good morning.

I down graded to win 10 about a week ago. No issues until today. It crashed and went about trying to fix itself. Took about 10 minutes to install a fix. Back up but for how long?

Beta test Bob

Anyone know how to get the start button to be able to bring up programs on the PC so you can use that short cut to get there? I had stuff like Revo un installer there for a quick connect and now I have to search fof it! Thanks so far Win 10 is running Great

Reboot and....

Reboot computer and when it starts to boot start pushing F8 to bring up the boot options.

If you see a selection that says "Windows 10 Technical Preview"

Select the operation "Windows Rollback" and do what it says. It will take some time to complete the operation.

Click your Start button. Then click All Apps. Find the program you want. Right click on it and select Pin to Start or Pin to Taskbar. Either way it will be easy to find in the future.

I would rather have it on the taskbar myself. I got rid of all the tiles on my start menu and shrunk it to a single column. I don't want it to grow itself back to two columns.

God Mode is great. I also noticed that Task manager is much more detailed, unless that's a carryover from W8.

I'm quite happy with all our Apple equipment and would not consider a home full of Windows equipment again, at least not now.

That said, I didn't find Windows XP or 7 so bad, and after playing around more with Win10 it's growing on me, particularly the voice recognition which is much better than what Yosemite offers. I've got a HP Win7 machine and have convinced myself to give it a try when I have some time to focus on it.

It's just a shame that a new OS from Microsoft is met with such trepidation. Unfortunately, those geniuses in Redmond have earned consumer fear over the years.
