The Nationwide Insurance commercial with the little boy that will never get to do this or that was cute until the end of the commercial and we find out he DIED in an accident. I'm sure that anyone else who has lost a child in an accident, as my wife and I have, were left in tears and feeling like ****. Thanks for ruining what was supposed to be an enjoyable evening.
Nationwide you suck!

Not as bad as Nationwide but the T-Mobile one sucked. Woman beside the hospital bed with a stethoscope around her neck says to the woman in the bed holding a baby "sorry it's a boy".

I need some help here guys. I did not watch the game, I did not see the commercials.
I just a look at the nationwide commercial, that is just wrong on so many levels.
So why don't you guys help us non-game watchers out, and tell us what were the good commercials.
I like dogs, horses, kids being happy, and the already mentioned cat herding.

I love dogs and horses too, the Budweiser commercial with the puppy facing a coyote (or wolf) that was saved by Clydesdales was probably the best tear inducing commercial.

hope this link works.

I hated the ATM commercial where the dad couldn't get a puppy for his son because he didn't have cash.

I was PISSED at the commercial that played Woody Guthrie's "This is Our Land" while showing video from foreign countries.

Budweier would have been better if the puppy had been left thinking that he scared off the coyote.

Our family also feels your pain "sw1834" as we lost a child when she was 14. What angers me most is that I have been a Nationwide customer for many years and after watching them waste a lot of money over the years, I'm seriously thinking about dropping them. Their money is a bottomless pit and they sponsor a top level NASCAR series, hire Manning to make a dumb arsed jingle commercial and now this. It seems the social media networks immediately went wild last night and Nationwide has already started an "explanation campaign" > Nationwide Explains Depressing Super Bowl Ad - NBC News . I don't know who ultimately makes their advertising decisions but whoever it is should be fired!

God Bless Spencer and your family for enduring a horrible loss.

I saw it differently I guess. Superbowl is one of the most watched televised events. People have Superbowl parties. Plenty of drinking. No better place to remind some to watch out because you could hurt a loved one.

I find the so called "public service" type ads insulting and pandering to some "WE CARE" sentiment that's politically correct at the moment.

"Don't beat women!" or "Be nice and take care of your children!"

Does anyone really think that someone who has a problem with the above will be changed by a sappy commercial?

I was glad to see that I was not the only person irritated by the Nissan commercial. "This Land is My Land" is about the U.S.A., not the whole earth. I saw the ad as some sort of "we are all the same" bull***t. Don't tell me that the savages running ISIS and I are all the same, or that any illegal who sneaks in to this country is entitled to the benefits of U.S. citizens. But at least the arrogant Seahawks lost!

Sounds like the consensus is a thumbs down on this years super Bowl commercials.
The 'smart people' spend a lot of time of time and money coming up with those commercials.
Makes me wonder if they are reviewed by the execs in the different companies.

In an effort for the advertisers to try and make a huge statement during the Superbowl, they more often than not try too hard and make really dumb commercials. Some of them are watched and people just look at each other and say "what the heck was that all about"? Others are in really poor taste and some are just a waste of time.
