Your Favorite Grease/Oil for Alloy Frames?

The only lubrication I need for any of my firearms is Mobil 1 Synthetic (15W50). The engineering that went into making the best engine lube works just as well on firearms... especially if your firearms see extremes in temperature.

For a glove compartment gun this stuff is essential.

The best greases is Brian Enos' slide glide. Other good ones are wilson ultima lube, brownells action lube, tetra gun grease, and RIG +p lube.

Liquid oil is fine except gravity makes it run from where you put it. I blend FP-10 into grease so it stays put.

FP-10 for me has been great. I had some problems after shooting about 90 rounds at the range. Powder buildup was gumming up my slide, preventing proper gun functions. FP-10 breaks down the gunk, and keeps things slick as can be.

I use TW-25B grease on semiauto slide rails and locking lugs.

I won't go into the gory details again, but I have sufficient data from an industrial lubrication process to convince me that this stuff is awfully good. The Marines use it on their M2 Brownings, and it passes a 500 hour salt spray test with no rust.

I second TW-25B. They have this formula in a grease and oil.
I don't have much experience with it on revolvers, but on my Glocks it is all I use and this stuff is top shelf.
