After a year of hearing what's for dinner.........
my wife told me when we were out for lunch at a Grill, that she was going to go to Costco.
I told her to drop me off at the house and to "surprise me" with something.
If I had to cook tonight, it would have been French toast.

Wife had carpal tunnel surgery on both wrists yesterday.So tonight I did some butterfly shrimp and roasted Brussels sprouts.Trying to keep it simple since I will be doing all the cooking and cleaning for next few weeks and still working full time.Oh yeah yesterday I made her favorite Turnip Green soup.
Bowl of Lucky Charms and toast.

Filet mignon, fried potatoes, green salad, Red Lobster cheddar biscuits, key lime pie. A healthy dose of Old Elk bourbon, a gift from a friend who allows me to hunt his land.
Spaghetti bolognese, salad and a glass of water. Swerve chocolate cake for dessert.
Trader Joe's Parlano pizza and Miller Lite.
Pizza and cold beer.... Bourbon neat later in the evening.

We had a couple of nice burgers after an appetizer of fried Calamari, wife had roasted brussels sprouts, I opted for a nice Caeser salad. Home by 4:30, I'll sleep through the festivities.
Last meal of the year. You know, I didn't really think of it that way.
Had shrimp cocktails, Maple grilled Salmon, Spaghetti with my home-made cherry tomato sauce, garlic bread and a couple glasses of wine, Chardonay and Fortissimo. No dessert.

We went over my stepsons with 6 adults and 2 grandbabies .
My stepson went all out we had baked lobster with crabmeat stuffing shrimp cocktail corn on the cob and a Fetta pasta salad and apple pie alamode . Some had a IPA or white wine but as I was driving I only had Coca-Cola.
The best thing was I was told next August we will be having another grand baby. They are hoping for it to arrive on my Daughter-in-laws birthday. This will be our 4th grandchild .

Took my mom down to Ormond Beach to look at a new winter place for her to buy. Stopped off at Taco Bell on the way home.
As the sun was setting we drove over to Flagler Pier for a while. Ordered a Dominos pizza on the way back to my house.
