I was thinking about this last night. I have a few S&W revolvers, some old and some new. There are 29's, 629's, 624's, a 24-3, 28-2s and a 66-5.

From time to time I like to look at these guns and admire them. All of them take turns going to the range and being shot.

But what I was thinking about is what do I use the most. Of all of these there are 2 that go just about everywhere with me while hunting or carry. These would be my 66-5 and my 29-8, they are my work guns and see the most use.

What do you use the most?

I see three different potential questions!

1) which that you own has been carried the most through it's life?
2) which that you own have YOU carried the most?
3) which do you use most, or have the highest round count with?

For me it like this...
1) a Model 10-10 heavy barrel that was formerly an Ohio Dept of Corrections issued gun. It's quite hammered on the outside, including the most horrific rack number literally scratched in to the bottom of the trigger guard by what may have been a rusty nail, but what a smooth shooter!

2) I use a S&W 469 as my carry gun when I am headed somewhere that the gun can't go, such as a concert, sports event or most likely, a school function. A great 2nd Gen compact from 1983.

3) Tough call! I have a TZT-prefix Model 52-2 that goes about every other range trip and also goes on a very active hiking Prairie Dog hunt each year. I also have a "shooter grade" 952-1 that gets to the range a lot. Lately, a lot of rounds through another "slightly under shooter grade" Model 66-2 with a 6-inch barrel. This last question is the toughest to answer!

Concealed carry wasn't legal here in Missouri until 2007, at that time I had a H&K P7 that I bought new in 1987 so I carried that. When S&W came out with the Shield series I bought a 9mm and have it on my hip every day from that point.

My most carried S&W is a S&W Shield in 9mm. Ugly gun. Not near as attractive as my S&W revolvers.

S&W M&P Shield in 9mm.

Now if I were to carry a S&W revolver, it'd be my Chief's Special.

Thanks for looking at my most carried S&W's.

God bless,

My most carried is this Model 60.

Second most carried in this Kimber Ultra Carry.

Both in Milt Sparks VMII's.

360sc 11oz ultralight .357 snubby, right-front pocket, 20 years, BUG for last 10 years.

10mm Kimber Eclipse 1911 primary, about 5 years.

Then, a S&W 4" 69 .44mag primary, about 1 year.

Finally, a S&W 5" 629 Classic .44mag, last 3 months, current primary, probably has the job from here on out.
