4. maybe 48's in .22 mag 6" & 8 3/8" ?
5. A 7 3/8" barrel with comp for my model 41.

3. 3" M686 CS-1

Engine49guy

1) S&W Model 17-6 blue full underlug barrel , 617 pre IL and a model 17 with a shrouded extractor, all in 4" barrel lengths.
2) S&W Model 43, 34, 63 RB snubs.
3) S&W Model 45 4" .22 M&P .
4) Colt Diamondback or Trooper III 4" .22 LR.

You may have noticed that .22 LR caliber guns are my favorite.
Seems that the ones listed above are becoming increasingly difficult to find lately (without using online auction sites).

I have a 34-1 2" & a 34-1 4" RB for sale also I have a 43 & 63 SB for sale if interested.

risbe

model 617 4" (i'd be happy with just this one):)
model 617 6"
model 48 4"/6"
model 610 6.5 "
model 24 nickel
M&P 15-22 or Sig 522
model 629 6.5"

Geeez.....this was fun :D

I have a 617 4" no lock and a 48-4 mag/Lr for sale if interested.

Geez, I thought I was bad! Most of you will need another safe, or gun room, or gun house! The response to this thread proves the addiction is alive and well. (Someone should char the responses)

I"'m looking for the models my dad had as service revolvers during his 32 years with the MSP.
1.) M&P pre- model 10 .38 Special, 6" barrel, C prefix.
2.) Model 10-6 4" HB
3.) Model 66 4" barrel
4.) Model 681

Then of course anything in a model 57 or 657 that I don't have.... like a 6" nickel P&R 57.

My short list? Ummm. A 44 2nd model 4". OK, I want 2 of them, one a target and the other fixed sight. Why? Because I don't have one of either.

Just for fun, add in a Triple Lock 4" target, too. Same reason.

I am sort of on the lookout for a six-inch .44 triple lock that is shootable and looks good, too. And I'd like an early Model 58 some day. That's about the only model-marked gun I really have a yearning for at the moment, and under California laws I am going to have to find it in my vicinity so I can buy it in a PPT.

But in general the short list is broad, flexible and subject to moment-by-moment redefinition. Mostly I just keep my eyes open for five screw models in any frame size. There is always one available somewhere, and if it sings to me as I see it or read about, I go after it.

There's that money thing, though. Sometimes I just let an opportunity pass me by if I sense this month's money might better go to something coming along in the near future. This keeps my crystal ball tuned up, too.

Insert "pre-lock" to all of these...

4" 617
3" or 4" 625
6" 657 (first non-rimfire gun I ever fired)
3" CS-1

1. 686 pre lock 4" never owned a L frame before.
2.4" blued model 57 no dash,to finish off my 41 magnum collection.
3.another blued J frame for pocket carry.
4.a 4" nickel 19 to finish off my model 19 collection.
5.possibly a model 43c just for fun.

#1 M25/625 in 45 Colt. Preferably Stainless Square butt thin barrel 4"
Wouldn't pass up a blued Round butt heavy barrel 6".
Because I like 45 Colt

#2 M27 4 or 6 inch. Because I like the checkering on the back strap.
I have a 357 J frame, K frame, and L frame. I need an N frame 357.

#3 M10 or M&P 4, 5, or 6 inch thin barrel. With Military or L.E history
is a +.
Why, I don't know. There's just something about them that I like.

#4 My old 29-2 that I pawned 20 because I wanted a motorcycle.
Because it was the first handgun I owned.

Shooters prefered. Safe Queens need not apply.

My want list is more of the general description of 5-screw (OK, 4-screws are acceptable) N-frames. First choice of caliber is always 44 Special. Second would be 45 ACP, followed closely by 38/44. Love 5" barrels but some 4" models look and balance nice. Wouldn't turn down a 3-1/2" pre-M27 or even a no dash. Not much for 6" or longer barrels but I do have one in the safe so I might buy another if it fit enough of the above. (smiley face goes here)

Filled a portion of my list today when I picked up a very clean 1953 K-22. Yesterday, I received my NIB just cataloged Ruger Flattop Blackhawk in 44 Special. Ordered it several months ago and it just came in. That leaves only the following:

6" 686 pre-lock
4" 686 pre-lock
1950 target 44 special, in either a 4 or 6 inch
6 1/2 inch 629 Classic pre-lock
6 inch 617 with heavy under lug, pre-lock
more of everything I already have
