Am wondering if any one is keeping an eye on the vote for Ted Kennedy's seat? Seems that there is some significance to the outcome, hope all you registered voters of that fair state exercise your right and cast your vote! Could make a difference.

Exit polls are showing Brown ahead by 15%. Keeping my fingers crossed that the deceased don't vote!

There is a lot more at stake here than just the healthcare bill. This is the balance of power. Now if he wins, what kind of stall tatics will be used to keep him from taking office. Also look for Obama and his pals to go on the extreme offensive. Could be the beginning of the end for Dem control. And oh yeh, ladder13 is right.

I am following the best I can from out west.
The election result affects the entire nation. Brown is my favorite right now.

I have a bottle of bubbly ready to open as soon as the good news comes in...and I ain't even an American and don't even live in the U.S.! But I want Brown to win for all the same reasons as any of you.

I heard Anthony Wiener(no jokes now, sip) a dem from, I'm ashamed to say.... NY :o, say they would stall his seating.
Let em' try, it may make things worse for them come Nov.

They've always been sore losers. Just look at the 2000 elections.

If Brown wins it will have to be by double digit percentage points or they will just pull a Franken on him. The Democrats have already said they plan on stalling his swearing in until Health Care passes.

He seems like a decent guy - he's a Lieutenant Colonel in the Army Guard and his daughter made it into the top 16 in American Idol a few seasons ago.

I'll bet it takes a while to take his seat, though. There will be some serious footdragging going on.

I have more than a passing interest in this. I would love to see a pro-second amendment person in that position. Maybe Pa. would get some carry reciprocity from this and put an end to a carry permit that is only good for 1 year.

Wanna hear something truly sickening?

That left wing liberal bird cage liner Boston Globe posted a map showing Coakley won with ALL precincts reporting via its online site boston.com.

Though they are now stating it was "practice" or somesuch, even non-tin foil hatted folks like me smell something...and it doesn't smell good.

In the words of Mr. Iverson: "Practice; they're talking about practice."

Be safe.

When Obama was in Mass the other day he said this election was about America moving forward with his agenda. Wonder what Obama will say if Mass flips their voting finger at his agenda?

First off, I am hoping for a S.Brown victory. Secondly, the only way the obamacare can pass is if the House passes the Senate bill that was sent back to them without ANY modifications. As far as the "fill-in" senator that temporarily took the vacated seat, he, by law, cannot cast any vote at all after the polls close tonight. It remains a vacant seat, giving the dems only 59 votes. They need 60 for the super-majority.

They can try to delay seating Mr. Brown should he win, but it won't help them pass that healthcare disater. As said above, the only way they pass anything is if the House accepts what the Senate sent back. They may do this just to pass something that they can hack away at later. I really don't see that happening. At least I hope not.

Let's just hope that Scott Brown pulls the biggest upset in American politics since I don't know when. This is monumentous. He gets in, and all of the socialist agenda falls. Cap & Tax goes bye-bye as well.

Just another way to overthrow the election in Coakley's favor. Always playing dirty.

They need to fire someone.

Healthcare stocks up 5% and Wall St upbeat in general. I read a report that some online bookies were paying off yesterday.

Where's BobK? Hope he voted several times!

You are quite right. Pelosi has changed her tune big time in the last month. I look to see them pass this thing AS IS just to get something done.
