Yeah, I had the same problem with my Blazers. Problem is, I haven't seen a single place around here that sells Federal of any kind.

Just go to cabelas.com they have bulk federal for 84.99 for 2100 and a dry box. If you do this before 1/11 they give you 20.00 off if you spend 100.00. It is on back order but it says it's due to arrive on 1/15. I think this is a pretty good deal the dry boxes do come in handy. Wish I had about another 8000 rds of this federal:D

New owner of mp15-22 and new member, I bought the rifle at cabelas this past monday, shot 100 rounds of fed bulk ammo on tuesday with no fte or ftf but I did have a out of battery discharge. Kinda scared of the gun now, spoke to cust service at S+W and am mailing in for them to take a peak. What if any is the reason and fix for this? Thanks

Ron

Is this your first .22 semi auto rifle?

Out of battery

The primary cause is the failure of the round to chamber completely. There are lots of possibities including a dirty gummy chamber(caused by the external lube on .22 ammo), a screwed up feed ramp, a firing pin stuck in an extended position, etc. etc.

Good to have S&W look at it.

I have a ruger 10-22 never a problem with it.

Sheeeet....... that ain't nothing. I got a 15-22 that has never had one FTE or OOB, and still has the original extractor, feed ramp and ejector! I'm sending the thing back to S&W so they can reverse engineer it and have a real "updated to latest spec" rifle.:D

Now.... if I could only get it to shoot straight....

I've had many problems w/ my 15-22 which are detailed on another thread here. It's on its way back to S&W now. It took over a week to get a call tag after a letters were not answered and phone messages were not returned .

I'm not optimistic but I'll give them a fair chance to make it right.

Maybe the recent political activity in Massachusetts has them all running for cover?

A warm welcome to all the new 15-22 members! Please take time to answer the survey! Lets keep it going. Thanks.....

No broken Ejector yet... I only shot 10 or so rounds through it before I realized the Magazine Release was fractured. I shipped mine back to S&W and it just arrived at their shop today. I also included a well written letter stating that the firearm should have never made it out of the plant with a broken component.

I'll be curious to see if I get any kind of response other than "upgraded to latest spec"

the only problem is that you can't change your response to the poll, I said I had no problems then the OOB happened.

Well maybe we need to make a couple polls 1 for 2000 rds 1 for 4000 rds and so on and maybe that would be better

that would be interesting to see how many problems are happening after a few thousand rounds once the guns are broken in. After i got mine back there were a few feed issues for a few hundred rounds but now its flawless, for now...

The Forum software does not allow changes to the poll. I've tried to add catagories to it but can't.

We could always come up with a new survey from scratch.
