I won't single anyone out, but we have some members here (and on other gun boards) who simply do not know the plural of "knife."

It is "knives", not "knifes."

I hope this will help those who need the knowledge, and I offer it in that spirit.

I don't want to go to sleep tonight. I know I will have a nightmare where Texas Star is dressed like a nun wacking my knuckles with a ruler to due spelling mistakes.

If you start singling out for bad grammer you're going to be doing a lot of singling.

Several ways you could do this correctly.

It is "knives," not "knifes."

It is knives, not knifes.

I don't really like making two extremely short sentences, which I guess is what you intended to do. (The period after "knives" makes me think that, but the lack of a capital "N" makes me wonder. Also, no comma is needed after "not" in what is, I guess, your second sentence, nor is one needed after "is" in your first sentence.

It is "knives." Not "knifes."
