SIG has added an engraved P226 to the lineup. I know this is not for everyone.

It is machine engraved and not hand engraved, but at the price point it is quite a value

MSRP is only about 15%-20% over a standard unembellished P226

The photographs done on the show floor does not do it justice.

This is off topic for a SHOT show thread but goes in line with Colts and SAAs.

Some of you may have heard that Bob Munden passed away from a heart attack about 4 weeks ago. He was 70 at the time.

For those of you that do not know, according to the Guiness Book of World Records, Bob was "The Fastest Man with a Gun Who Ever Lived"

Bob had a God given gift when it came to six shooters. His feats of speed and accuracy are almost beyond belief.

Bob began entertaining crowds with his firearm talents in 1968 along with his wife Becky. He had been on many TV shows back them.

Bob won the triple crown of speed shooting many times. Probably anytime he entered it.

Bob also did live shooting shows around the country. Portions of those shows made it onto his videos. I love the title of his second video "All my Heros wore Sixguns"

I just think of a time when good guys wore withe bad guys wore black and nobody worried about locking their house or guns.

In recent years Bob had many appearance on various cable shooting shows so hopefully you had a chance to see him in action.

Less known was that Bob was a master gunsmith when it came to the Single Action revovler. He modified many for speed shooting.

Many years ago I was fortunate enough to purchase #12 of his second limited edition revovler. It is beautifully presented in a strong box hidden under a tray of gold nuggets, it is picture below.

The SAA and Six Gun community is diminished with his loss

RIP

Ahem....you mean going the correct direction!:D That one looks cool!
A10 How about this one?

Arsenal Firearms has come up with one that will be in the movies for sure.

Their 2011 is a double 1911.

It fires two cartridges each time you pull the double trigger. It then ejects a casing in each direction and strips fresh ammunition off the two magazines.

The firearms are regulated at 15 yards. This is a heavy pistol. Plastic pistol people will hate it right away. While a Government model weighs in at 39 ounces, this handful of double trouble is easily in the 70 ounce range.

An interesting thought, it is possible for each side of the firearm to be set up for a different caliber. How about firing a 9MM and a 38 Super simultaneously. OK, I can not think of a need for it either, nut it is neat.

The firearm is produced in blue or stainless and there is even a engraved and gold inlaid high end version.

I was unable to locate one of the 10MM Glock 29 Gen 4 pistols like the one I shot at the range

The Glock folks could not tell me where it went

Sorry for that.

I am very nearly speechless......nearly. What on earth do you do with the thing? IPSC? It'd probably make major! You'd have to have hands the size of Kareem Abdul Jabbar to hold the silly thing!

The Ruger's NEW Bearcat was on hand. It felt like the old one to me even with it's stainless steel construction.

I still keep mine around for starting young shooters on the path to developing their skills.

I will get some if S&Ws images of the 1911s up after my plane ride home.

The UTS15 looked quite a bit like an upside down KelTec.

BTW, KelTec is shipping 500 of their KSG each week. Even with that massivly increased production they can not predict when the backorders will be filled.

While not really new, I thought that this green Volquartsen Scorpien looked pretty cool.

Volquartsen has long been a leader is super accuracy on the Ruger MK-??? and 10-22 firearm platforms

The Wyatt 'Deep Cover' was featured on an episode of the show.

The challenge for Wyatt was to convince the S&W guys that ALL the changes from stock to custom could be done in 20 minutes.

He succeeded! - Keep that in mind as you evaluate the premium price.

.......and I remain very much confused over this offering. Gad!!!!!!!!!!!
