I understand i am of a different generation than a lot of the members here...and I also understand not everyone here has the opportunity for the level of education that I completed, but, we live in the age of the computer.
The era I was raised in, there was a lot of emphasis put on using the English language and CORRECT SPELLING. Now every computer I know of currently offers spell-check. Most all public access forums OFFER spell check in their "post new thread box" automatically...that's AUTOMATICALLY...the computer finds words that are misspelled as you TYPE them, it highlites the word, and even, in a lot of cases offers CORRECT spelling.
I humbly suggest that when you prepare a comment, you pay attention to this electronic marvel.
When I read comments here, and on other forums that I visit, my eyes slam shut at words, many common words, that are not spelled correctly.
Not to mention the run on paragraphs, mashed language used, and so on. As I write this, I can think of a number of active participants throughout this forum whose comments I will not read because it is an assault on my brain to try and figure out what said contributor is saying.
Maybe it's just me, perhaps I woke up today with a bug in my backside, but C'mon guys...I know from reading that most of you are well educated, familiar with the language in some real sense, somewhat computer savvy, but your writing would make one believe you did not make it past the fourth grade.
comments welcome...have at it
