Annoyed at thread drift

For you opera fans, I've been given the two-CD set of Ricardo Scuzzi's tragic tale of love and betrayal among chipotle sorters, "Manos Arriba, Viejos", conducted by Chutney Phartrangler and featuring Icelandic soprano Emma Sugginsdottir as Lupe and Hurley Streen as the Orthodontist. I considered offering it as a karma, but thought the time wasn't right. Review to follow.

Lupe's aria, "Doctor, usted puede eliminar esta semilla de chilli de me chicle!" is one of the true high points of early 20th century opera.

While C. Phartrangler is a competent conductor, I've always preferred the Sir Malcom Bottomsniffer, leading the St. Scrooby in the Cesspit Vernal Equinox Orchestra recording.

Ah, a fellow connoisseur! :D

I still remember this from Leave it to Beaver, some 50 years ago. It is the only Spanish I know and it was taught to the Beav (and me) by that paragon of virtue, Eddie Haskel.

"Usta tiene una cara como Puerco." You have a face like a pie.

I believe what you are saying is "you have a face like a pig."

Pie would be "pastel" or "empanada", which is a small meat pie.
