Everyone in the Northeast

Was out for about 2 1/2 hours, about a 50 ft driveway, plus walk and of course stairway to front door.

Roughly 2 1/2 - 3 ft, gotta love those drifts, wind was howling and it was cold outside.

Once I came back in, I had a nice cup of Swiss Miss hot chocolate with marsh mellows, what a treat.

Biggest problem is getting my rear out there, once started I just get into a groove at a slow pace.

Will finish up tomorrow, finally stopped coming down.

Especially the part about getting my butt out there and starting. Once I did, it went OK.

Thanks to LL Bean, I was very warm.

I spent 5 hours doing the snow blowing today. My 7 HP Toro Single Stage is a bit undersized for the 2 feet of snow we got today and I am already looking to upgrade to a larger and more powerful 2 stage unit. I did the driveway, back patio, and walkway all around the house and now my wife tells me we are in for some more on Friday. :o

I suppose the trade off was that we never lost power. :D
 
We didn't lose power either. That was my only concern since it's so could and I don't have a generator.

My recommendation for a snow blower is Ariens. Get the biggest one you can afford. When I started my search, I was looking at a 24" Compact model. After doing about six months of research I decided on the 28" Deluxe. Anything larger was just a bit beyond my budget.

It wasn't very hard to clear what I had to clear today. Plenty of power and a wide intake chute.

They never let you down.:D

Still have to deal with the driveway once again, the nice plow driver paid a late visit, about 4 feet high 3 feet in depth and 14 feet wide.:eek:

I did flip him the bird:), glad he didn't see me.:cool:

My little muscles have been stretched a little today, but I feel great.;)
 
Last year during the "Polar Vortex" I shoveled more snow than in my previous 67 years total. I bought a new performance shop shovel last month and retired "old trusty" I bought at a yard sale 15 years ago for $1.00. So far it's been CAAWDBIAWS but not enough snow to test out the new shovel. To be honest I could use the exercise. Eh....Maybe not.
 
It sure did snow

We (Central Mass) had about 30". Could be more but it was over the top of all the snow thrower chutes.
Took 2 days to clean up but didn't have to go anywhere anyway.
