WHAT, you haven't heard. Salt is no longer bad for you. Dump the substitute and enjoy your popcorn as it was intended. :D

Maybe your post is intended as a joke, but I assure you; excessive sodium consumption is not a laughing matter. It causes fluid retention, which can cause my lungs to fill with water, & make it very difficult for my heart to function normally. I know this for a fact. It has put me in the hospital in the past; most recently, last Christmas.

Saturday morning and big storm and tornado warnings here. News is showing all the idiots that try to drive through the high water and wipe out their vehicle. Insurance companies shouldn't pay off if you are that stupid! I really think a number of the people who do this want get rid of a car with a problem. You can't fix stupid and I don't want to pay for it.

I now interrupt this drift for a gun moment. It happened. I got pictures. My CZ itch has been scratched.

CZ75 Compact 9mm...still needs the factory gunk cleaned off. What am I going to do on a rainy day?

Got an unfired Ruger Security Six .357...but that one is going on the block...unless nobody wants it. Then I guess I will just have to keep it. Awwww shucks.

Now back to our regularly scheduled drift.

SNICKERDOODLES.

Well happy Halloween everybody. Temp in the low 50's in the desert this morning and it feels good. The sun is shining and it looks like it is going to be a really good day. The coffee is good as well this morning and I am just sitting here and enjoying it.

How many of you are going trick or treating tonight? I can just see it now a bunch of old guys armed to the teeth hobbling around house to house saying trick or treat. Be sure to carry a glass with you and maybe everyone will give you a "shot" of something to help keep the chill away. Well it's time to drift on into the day so eveyone be happy and stay safe.

Strange day today.

Storms woke me up early and I did not think I would be able to get in a morning walk because of the weather. At 5:00 I realized I did not hear rain anymore. I checked the US Weather Service weather radar and it looked like there would be a break in the rain. I got in a five and a half mile walk before it started to rain. The problem was that I was a half mile from home. Well, it was warm and I was going to shower when I got home anyway. The GPS tracking app gave me credit for having walked 6 miles, so that is an acceptable workout for a rainy day.

Here's a news article that I figured the folks here would like to see. Warship Honoring Marine Christened at Maine Shipyard - ABC News

Edit for additional strangeness (This is not a Halloween joke):

I got an email from a friend/neighbor/fellow walker this afternoon. It was her description of coming across this event (Woman drowns after crashing car in ditch in southwest Houston | News - Home) while she was on her walk this afternoon. The ditch pictured and Briargrove Drive which is mentioned made up over a mile of my walk this morning. I was walking in the street and staying away from the grassy area and the ditch. I went by where that picture was taken right about 5:30 this morning. The body was surely hung up in the tree when I went by. Not only that, but that is probably 150 yards from my father's home. My step-mother is going to love this news.
