This is exactly why I stopped contributing to or monitoring this thread a long long time ago. If I wanted to look at still life pictures all day, I would go to a museum. In a lot of ways you guys have killed this thread buy filling it everyday with inane cut and paste garbage of no useful substance. Good luck and goodbye.

I wonder if anyone noticed? Don't forget to watch out for the screen door...

Call me stubborn, but I'm not ready to give up! Just because a few people have decided to not post or to post a lot less isn't a reason to kill it. Maybe it's time to circle the wagons or whatever...I've enjoyed this thread too much to let it go into that good night. Yes, there have been low points, notably the posting of endless pictures without any kind of caption or reason, I've never enjoyed that. I would be interested in knowing how many people think the thread should continue, or if it should be allowed to end. I know that there is at least one person that would be happy if that happened, & it would be worth it to me to continue just so he can't gloat over the demise of this thread. But, I ramble...like I said: a vote of confidence would be nice.

Well... I was thinking about brewing some tea... Then I could not decide which one I like the best.

Then I thought tea is for after walking, and I've already done my walking today. In fact I'm retiring a pair of shoes and have another pair of the same ready to take their place. I put the old pair in use on October 8, 2015 and may wear them one more time so I can say I got three months out of them.

Thanks for the beer offer, but I poured one before I got your message.

It's Beer Time!

Today I'm having a Saint Arnold Christmas Ale. Twelve packs of this wonderful strong ale can still be found on sale for $14, but I found some singles in the Bargain Bin for 99 cents each.

Thinking back a few years, it was this beer, Saint Arnold Christmas Ale, that got me to shift my beer drinking from mass quantities of non-offensive beers, to savoring truly good beers and appreciating the various styles of beer.

Cheers!

I've had a super busy day today - going strong since 3:30 am EasternTime, coming up for air about 15 minutes ago. I'd just like to make a general comment on the thread and some recent posts. Like every human endeavor in which I've ever participated, this thread has its ebbs and flows, strong and weak moments, and a cast of characters reflective, I think, of the society at large. I will tell anyone interested in listening that I have genuinely enjoyed the serious, the inane, the joyful and not so joyful posts, the captionless
photos, the inside jokes, the musings of colorful characters - all because they are so genuinely human and not full of self righteous self importance or aggrandizement. In a word, I've had a lot of fun, and hopefully I did so at the expense of no one. As for me, I'll be happy to visit this thread and provide input, as appropriate, every day I'm available to do so. The only threads I've ever opted out of on any forum are those where vitriol becomes the norm. It's unfortunate that there seem to be so many of them on the five forum communities to which I belong. I'm pleased to say that I've "met" some very decent folks on this thread and in the greater forum and for that, I'm grateful. Cheers!

Me not quit Kemosabe. Just lotsa poop to deal with.

Got the pics done, all twenty two. And I got them all attached to an email, in order.
When the wife got home, she did the text and off it went.
People keep telling us that insurance companies always want to settle things quickly. These people have been dragging their feet for months.

Quickly in insurance speak is about a year. The courts take one to two years at best.

As much as I like our big ol' Dodge truck, it doesn't have many places to put stuff.
There's a CD player but no place to keep CDs. Today I wandered out to my garage workshop (it's cold out there) grabbed some scraps and made a box that'll fit between the seat and the cup holder.
It'll hold twenty one CDs and fits perfect.
It's just a hunk of pine for the bottom with masonite sides.
Hmm, I wonder how it'd look covered with a hunk of tooled leather?
