I have had no Vicodin nor beer in three weeks. I'm doing my Weekly Reader crosswords in ink. I have lost 6 lbs.

Ruthie has been following me around making cat calls.

I feel like such an object.

It's only a matter of time before I cave.

Everybody breaks sooner or later! :)

No beer has touched my lips in a lo..nn..gg time. Not since I discovered how to use a funnel ! :D

This is a photo of my dad "Pops" who passed in Feb. 2010
A 20 year Marine. My hero and best friend.
This picture was taken on base housing while Pops was
stationed there 1960-1964. Camp Lejeune.
That's me on the left and my middle brother Donnie on the
right. We were both rockin' our cowlicks... haha
My youngest brother Rick was not born yet, 1964 so i know
this has to be 1963. Dad was an enlisted Marine and he made
just enough for us to get by. He retired a Master Gunnery Sgt.
in 1975. He was stationed overseas three times in Japan,
Okinawa, and he did a tour in Viet Nam.
Miss you Pops and Thanks for everything you did for us.

Long work day today and just caught up,glad you all left some posts to get my laugh meter going! Never have shot a computer but have definitely come close! Gotta get a shower and get ready to crash so I am ready for tommorow. Drift on and try not to stretch the truth!

Chuck, the picture of your pups taking over your seat reminds me of a time I experienced the same thing, but no where near as pleasant.

I was wedged into an old Econoline van with three others & a volcanic dog named Spider. He was an 80lb Dobie that was poorly socialized. We were headed to Billings, Montana from San Antonio. It was the dead of winter & I was not having a good time. I had contracted some monster case of the flu & I laid in the back of the van in a nest that I had constructed , hoping to die. The Rocky Mountains came into view, & everyone told me I should sit up & look at them. As I said, I was hoping to die & didn't care about the scenery, but after a lot of pressure, I did sit up & look, giving Spider the opportunity to steal my place. I told him to move, but he wasn't about to as he finally had a chance to lay down. I decided to just start laying down & he would get the message & move. I was wrong! In a split second he was on all fours, barking & snarling about two inches from my nose. Quite sobering. The driver hit the side of the highway & put Spiders muzzle back on, & while he was doing that I got my nest back. Obviously, I've never forgotten it.:cool::D
