Annoyed at thread drift

Good morning drifters. It's 67 degrees in the desert this morning. Had rain and some flooding in Phoenix yesterday but out here only had a 6 inch rain. A 6 inch rain means the drops were 6 inches apart in other words a sprinkle. Today the sun is shining with a very slight breeze and it is really nice outside.

Baby emu!! They're increasing their flock, or whatever you call a bunch of emu. We need to catch some of them and fry them up with some taters and beer for our May Day celebration.

Tried to get on line late last night and my Verizon thingy that I use to get on line gives me a notice that I didn't have any "minutes" or whatever it called it and that I would be charged extra for any time I spent on line. I tried calling and the recording said I could only talk to some one between 8 AM and 9 PM today so I waited. Now today every thing is back to normal and I have all my time back to where it was before.

Why don't they have a night shift to help people that are paying for their services? And why does this thing give me this message late at night and never during the time they are working? It's not the first time I've gotten this message but it's only when I try and get on late at night and no one is working.

Oh well it is the only way I have to get on line so I guess I will have to get used to it or do with out. I hate it when some company can control parts of my life.

My Horse BC...

Has been gone for a number of years. He contracted EPM and lost use of his hindquarters, so had to be put down. He was 27 y.o. so had lived a good life. I got him when he was 9. His registered name was Bums Candyman 😜 , hence calling him BC 😊. He was a TWH, 16.2 hands tall, and we had interesting rides around the country. Both of us were/are headstrong so it was a marriage made in heaven. His flat walk was faster than most horses trot. He also had an ability to walk backwards as fast as many horses walk forwards. That and his uncanny ability to see things that spooked him a 1/2 mile away, made for some interesting rides the first several years I had him! 😏
I still read the cartoon strip BC in his honor! 🐴
Today's BC strip summarizes my riding history with BC or maybe his meanderings with me? 👦

After 20 years of construction, the Gotthard Base Tunnel begins operation on June 1st. This modern marvel is the worlds longest and deepest rail tunnel, and will cut the trans-alp time in half.

Societal Perspective Trivia: The final cost of this massive infrastructure improvement project (twelve billion dollars) is the same as the cost of the 2012 London Olympic games. This project was twice put to a vote in a national referendum and approved by the populace each time.

I live in both worlds.

I am as comfortable at a Sartre symposium as I am a tractor pull.

Did not know that Sartre went to tractor pulls? Does he wear his ballcap backwards or sideways? 👦

Everything has been figured out, except how to live. - Sartre

Tractor pulls....now he knows living! 🙌

Would you care to elaborate what ******* refers to? I can think of several that won't pass muster, and, some that do................cooking, for example.
Dave

I vote for outdoor 'driving' to fill in the *******. 😁 Most likely in the Miata 💨 with the top down or off, as I can't remember which way it is?

Looks like a pretty nice day out in Irving Texas for the Volunteers of America Texas Shootout.
Watching some great ladies golf! ;)

That's what I was planning on doing once I had my Corvette inspected, it's done nothing but rain since I got it back last week!

Mexican food!!!😁
My favorite and the way I judge Mexican food is Chille rellenos, then tamales.
Best I ever had was in Artesia, N.M., many years ago. Last year in the Black Hills a new Mexican place, Rosa's, was found in Hills, S.D. Almost a hole in the wall type place, but a bigger. 2nd place, but almost first on the chille rellenos., and the tamales were first rate! She only makes so many, so if they were sold out, you went without! 😞
Son came back from fishing Deerfield Lake with limit of trout, and brought back to camp, a dozen tamales from Rosa's. What a dinner! Maybe the location helps? 😙 It was memorable, family, food, in the Hills 🌲 ,and some wine and beer! 😎

Reading your post I realized that I don't really know a good for chile rellenos, which is pretty weird. I'm going to have to check into that.

And yeah, tamales are like that here, too. Especially around Christmas, if you don't have a two or three dozen reserved, you'll be going without. We were lucky for a long time in that we had family friends that bring by a dozen or two, but, everyone's getting older, & tamales are a MAJOR undertaking.
