I sure don't get it.
I'm a Dinosaur and i'll admit that but still...
I am afraid we will eventually turn into a civilization of wired
Robots that HAS to know at this exact instant what is going
on in Los Angeles or Hong Kong, etc...or have a game at our
fingertips at all times.
Don't get me wrong, i carry my cell with me also. They are invaluable tools.
But I might, might, make 1 or 2 calls a day but only because we got rid of our land lines.
The folks with their ears pinned to a phone 45 minutes of every hour do make me scratch my head a bit.
It will NOT happen with my grandkids when they are around me.

Everybody sitting down, here's the idea:
The Drift, a reality show about a bunch of lovable, eccentric, wandering gun forum characters ! From all walks of life, varying ages, with only one creed, DRIFT !
Follow these characters as they interact in no discernable pattern, line, or logic! They are all over America, and travel the world, to and fro. The music is eclectic, covering every genre, from professionals and not so! All subjects are discussed, nothing is normal, yet everything is normal!
Cautions: Fun, unfun, some are known to be without pants, some without logic, and medical terminology as their individual states of being are discussed can happen. Holes will magically appear in paper, cans, at random times! Occasional witticisms will appear! Photography, astronomy, astrology, animals, wild and tame will appear and disappear! Food, firearms, regional likes, dislikes, and even liquor, spirits, and assorted other beverages, will magically appear and disappear! Pets are KING, in fact pets are the realm! Cars, trucks, aeroplanes, trains, boats, wagons, are in vogue! Be prepared, be aware, be insipid, be whatever, be whereever, drift through life !
I think it will work.
Kind of a 2016 version of Seinfeld but kick it up a notch.

Snubby, I'm in the process of winding up my affairs here & preparing to move to Paw Paw. I just realized we are related! You have enough space for me, right? But I'm sure we will be buying a bigger house anyway, what with your sudden largesse. I can room with the cats;not a problem. I'll send you an email to advise you of my pending arrival. Stock up on the bison burger, son, we'll grill out.
AHC, formerly Military Channel, actually has a WWII military program on right now, Scharnhorst sinking off Norway! So I guess their out as they are going back to normal.
Outdoor Channel possibly, but no abandoned mines, cause of claustrophobia!
MythBusters seems to be available for special affects, though do we have a opinion about berets? If we go north then ERA airlines could provide transportation, but then
TSA involvedTrains would be fun, but they are limited locations!

i even got some Injun in me.
So if anybody is moving in with my rich uncle Snubby

I wonder if Rusty has any "brisket" warming in his "chafing dish."

Model 19...pinned and recessed...two and a half inch snubby in a holster by Snubby. That would be my Smith of choice. Just saying, millionaire drifters.

Somebody said something about brewsky around lunch time. I'm not shy, I'll show you mine. It's Beer Time!
Last fall I was at the local Whole Food Market health food beer bar, and sampled Karbach Three Legged Lab Imperial Stout and Ballast Point Victory at Sea Imperial Porter. Both were exceptional full bodied sipping beers. I bought the Three Legged Lab because on tap it was $5 per 12 oz snifter as opposed to $7 per 12 oz snifter for the Victory at Sea.
Today I was able to acquire two bottles of Ballast Point Brewing, of San Diego, CA, Victory at Sea for $1.67 per bottle.
Pours black with a moderate lasting tan head. Scent is of coffee and a bit of alcohol. No noticeable alcohol flavor. The taste is sweet with a very pleasant blend of coffee, vanilla, caramel malt, and a bit of hops. If I were given this in a blind tasting I would think it a coffee milk stout, not a porter. ABV is 10%, which is definitely stout. This is a hearty beer for hearty foods or slowly savoring. I like this beer a lot, not $15 a 6-pack a lot, but $10 a 6-pack a lot. Wish I could have bought six for $10.

Still raining steady. The weather turds were right, for once.
Wifey came home and is tired, snapping at me worse than a Tennessee River Snapping Turtle!
So I left the house to get Grandson from school! Only two more days till he graduates from the 8th grade and heads to high school. They should've already been out earlier this past week. But They're making up snow days. And wouldn't have to, if they wouldn't close schools every time there's a snow flake, that's gone by 10 am. And on Tuesday his school is having a big graduation ceremony? Suits and all. He excited.
So I'm sitting here posting, watching it rain and waiting on him. Hanging out with y'all.
And yes, I had to put on pants! Dang It!!

I am also related to Indians from a while back also.
I still have one of the gifts they gave me the only time I visited, very distinctive!
Small triangular piece of flint on a short broken piece of limb, attached by some sinew wound around the grooves in the flint piece! Really sharp piece ! Painful receiving it and getting it out!
Kinda of strange message given to me though, something about not letting the sun sit on my burro? Did not get the drift though ?
