Good Morning!

I hope all is well, in the land of plenty?

High today is 97 degrees here in Music City, heat index of 100! Nice day to be Downtown Nashville on the pavement, watching concerts, during the CMA Fan Faiir. NOT!!

Or at Bonnaroo in Manchester Tennessee, but at least at Bonnaroo, they're so high, they think they're in the Alps! Or as momma used to say, they're higher than a Georgia Pine.

So I hope everyone stays safe today and stays cool. Where ever your at. And PLEASE, don't fall out of that Georgia Pine! When your that high, it's a long way down!

The Army dropped me off in a big Georgia pine twice and it is a very very long way down!

Back from a beach stroll and heading for breakfast, stopped by to say hi.
Didn't get caught up, choked on my coffee, SW you old cunning linguist you :p

Pounding rain all the way thru Big Cypress the skies cleared enough to grab some groceries and check in. Clouds built again as we headed to the beach where my wife immediately made a new friend... horse or queen conch I'm not sure. Not a minute later I found another in a foot of water and then one more down the beach all catching the outgoing tide.
If I found one more I would have backtracked, harvested, mashed together with some Wavy Lays, butter, garlic and lots of pepper and made a fritter. Made do with brats and onions on the grill.

View from the deck, wife's little lucky buddy and the pier with Sanibel (back after breakfast, WiFi still on... far out) in the background.

Good morning!
Hot here, possibly a record high for the date later in the day. Made 95° yesterday per our thermometer.
A big T storm came close last night, lots of rumbling, but broke up before it got here.
Just some light rain, to add moisture to the air, YEA????? 😕
T storm off to the west towards Does Moines but moving SW.
Wife just finished working on the horses feet for the day, hopefully finish tomorrow!
I have been out checking out the trailer, removing covers, tire pressure, etc.
Horses now in the pasture, so happy!
AC feels good for us old folks!
Maybe #1 in invention listings! 😁 Maybe #2 🍺 ??

Good morning everyone, hope all are off to a great weekend start. Things are starting to heat up here already, humidity is building. Expecting some heavy hitter thunderstorms to blow through here this afternoon!
Not to much planned for today, just a laid back weekend. Maybe a drive to the campsite later to check on the Motorhome, after the storms pass. ;)

Just got back from a Breakfast Run. I had to stop at my Amish Store for Mator's. Can't have a weekend without my Organic Amish Mators!

Then went to Hardie's and got us all Gravy N Biscuits. Drive thru was around the block, so I went in. What a bunch of idiots. Place was slammed and they were messing up orders left and right. No one working there could speak or understand ENGLISH! I had to tell the girl 5 times, no, I ordered 3 gravy n biscuits. She still didn't understand and kept trying to give me, God only knows what? And acted like I was the one that was crazy! I thought an older lady was going to hurt one of them! They kept messing up her order, over and over.

And these fools want $15 an hour? They owe me money for standing there waiting on them to get my simple little order right for 30 minutes!

I was having a good morning till I got to Hardie's!

Breakfast Rant Over!

I'm back home from walking, then walking and grocery shopping, then walking and shoe shopping.

If you are not familiar with DSW and Nordstrum Rack, they have closeout items at each store which are unique to each location, and online pricing which the stores will honor. I ended up buying a pair of Brooks Ravenna 6 support running shoes from DSW online for $55, in the store they had one pair of size 10 which I could have bought for $42.50, but I do not wear a size 10. The price direct from Brooks Running is $70 and at Nordstrum Rack they were $65. Prior to the introduction of the Brooks Ravenna 7 the 6s sold for $110 per pair. My feet are last year's models too.

Now it is Beer Time!

After yesterday's Hawaiian beer brewed in Nashville, I have a Brooklyn beer that is brewed in Utica, NY. I got the state right on this one. It's Brooklyn Brewing Summer Ale. The label refers to it as a "flavorful pale ale for warm weather adventure." It's mouth feel is a bit thin, it is mild flavored with flora to fruit hops flavors. If I were guessing I'd say this is a Kolsch style ale cold aged as a lager would be. I may look it up on Beer Advocate to see if it is a Kolsch, but it's a decent brew. I would drink it again, but not go out of my way to buy it again.

The four other beers in that mix-pack I bought would have cost what I paid for all six beers. The Kona and Brooklyn samples were just that, sampling.

Cheers!

Since we are expecting some nasty storms to blow through here I went up to our campsite to check on our Motorhome and newly acquired Playskool Rubbermaid shed!
Since we were in Md. last week it's been a bit over a week since we were there last.
I found out the guy across the street experienced what I believe was a 115 volt Arc Flash when he plugged in a wet refrigerator cord, and it flashed and exploded on him. If you know electric and have worked maintenance you know what I'm talking about! He has suffered third degree burns to his hand holding the refrigerator cord and minor burning to his chest and other hand!
First time I've heard of this on the Homefront, more so happening in higher voltage and commercial situations. They bought this little fridge used and he washed it down to clean it up!
The bottom line here on all accounts be careful when working around electricity, even as much as changing a light bulb!
Do yourself a favor and Google either arc flash or electrical burns and you'll see what I'm talking about! ;)
Just thought I'd pass this along.....Let's be careful out there, Get the job done safely and then go have a beer! :D

Was it just the cord that was wet, or maybe the cord and the refrigerator were both wet and he had one hand on the wet cord and the other hand on the wet refrigerator?

My shoes got rubber soles!

Ouch!

Don't know the details, all I heard was that when it was plugged in it exploded?
So I tend to believe an arc flash occurred when the wet cord met the power cord. Didn't say if he experienced an electrical shock during this event?
Nothing on those campsite electrical posts or in the trailers themselves have GFI's unless they're in the kitchen or bathroom. I' sure it should have tripped a breaker. ;)
