Difference between the m&p15s

They got 1000 rounds of 223 but when I asked them what caliber the gun itself was they said they didn't know just showed a pic I'm going to continue shopping around for the .223/5.56 model now that I know what I'm looking at/for thank you for the help. Have you ordered one from smith themselves? Just wondering what all will come with it in the box if I get it sent to a lgs

^^^Sounds like a disaster in the making^^^^ Not knowing what they bought? 1000 of .223 and not sure if the firearm they purchased will fire the ammo? Sounds like my parents, who every time I see them I advise not to buy a gun.

caught academy having a sell on the dpms love it so far I put about 60 rounds through it sighting in my scope the other day, and even with the barrel heating up after I got it sighted in it stayed dead on looking into a new handguard for it so I can put a front handle on it. Anyone tried the handles with a light, and laser on it? I want a green laser I know forsure

I got the Viridian C5L green laser & light combo for my Glock 19. I love it.
I'd get a X5L for my Sport2 if I was shopping for one.

Handle? You mean verticle fore grip?

This thread kind of scares me.

Yes a "vertical fore grip" I'm debating between one I can put a light, laser on or the magpul angled fore grip and just purchasing a laser and light separately and adding in on my quadrails

You're pretty new to this platform as you said, I'd buy more ammo and get to the range and practice with the gun before you start swapping stuff out on it. We've seen lots of people here rush out and buy stuff only later to find out it won't fit their rifle.

My suggestion. Get familiar with your rifle. Read up on the AR functionality and understand how the rifle works and how different accesories will fit on it. That will help you a ton and probably will save you lots of time and money.

Agree with Kadonny. Ammo and range time is a better investment than a laser. Unless you are going to spend the money to take QCB training courses to teach you how to actually use all that tactical gear, it is just dead weight on a rifle.

Also keep in mind that the M&P-15OR has a chrome lined barrel while the M&P-15 Sport II does not.

Yea pretty new to ars. I just have experience with pistols, bows and hunting rifles I'm not really concerned with laser, and lights right now looking more into adding a bipod, and for grip in. And to do so on the dpms setup I have to swap out the handguard for quadrails, or a different handguard I can add rails to
