No hybrid Canidae is a protected species in Texas—and I doubt anywhere else in the country for that matter. Only a native, wild Red Wolf would be protected in TX.

I've been seeing these three on camera and across my hunt property off and on for months now. Even on game camera urinating directly under a deer feeder.

Animal control told me not to let them limp away.

It's not as easy as you might think on coordinating being there with rifle, in position at the time they pass through. I've already spent many hours sitting in a stand, dog food/scraps placed at 100 yards...

Any breed can “revert” to a wild animal.
The ones that were someone’s pet are dangerous as can be when in a pack. They are full on predator and have no fear of people.
Years ago there was a pack running the area around a mountain community. Not one wolf mix in the bunch when I saw ran into them with a friend.
Fish and Game told us that they all belonged to or once belonged to locals who had just let them run amok.
Not too sure what happened to all of them. I do know there was a shoot on sight order from local authorities. They wanted them gone.

It's wild dogs by day, coyotes by night. At one time I counted nine different piles of droppings on a 100 yard long dam.

Today is quiet so for-some gunslinger shot one and one was captured out of 5. I originally posted 4 out of the same litter.They are trying to get them alive. They are not hurting people just other small animals. . I will post when something happens. Everything is hush in the news but should break when they are captured. I am sure they don't need outside help. .xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxToday Saturday=nothing exciting and down to 3. Come to find out ONE was the mother and looks like they are staying in the same area probably waiting for the owner that dumped them to return.< BABY GUNN'S >animal rescue is in the area -a non profit origination. THEY MAY GET LUCKY
