Not completely true. Don't forget the War of 1812! We may have been severely provoked, but Yes, we declared war on Great Britain.

Probably a whole bunch of history classes. The first invasion of the U.S. was during the War of 1812. Next IIRC, was 1916 in New Mexico, unless you count the Civil War. Then would come the Philippines, Wake Island, Guam and then Alaska. Did I miss any guys?

Who is invading the US? The US hasn't has foreign boots on our soil since 1812- OVER 200 years. All wars we fought in the last 70 years have been meaningless that we either lost or backed out of.

It was indeed part of the USA and it was indeed invaded by the Japanese.

Oddball calibers simply aren't being currently produced, because manufacturers can't keep up with the high demand calibers yet. Why change the line around and experience ANY down time when it makes zero economic sense?

We're on allocation for everything from pex fittings to water heaters.

Price increases are coming weekly. copper and steel pipe prices are through the roof. And copper pipe is spotty to get.

You know. the same copper used in ammo.

So there's no conspiracy. Only an overloaded system of production, delivery. and demand.

I'm glad I was an ant and not a grasshopper when it came to ammo.

Thank you - Those stimulus checks are creating a classic inflationary environment. Too many dollars chasing to few goods.

Why people do not believe that shutting down all of these businesses will impact availability is beyond me. Then you have the waffling back and forth open close open close creating ripple effects.

The manufacturers are doing everything they can. They certainly want to max out their output. But, they will not create new capacity on what they know is short term.

If new plants were being built that would indicate their belief that the demand was long term.

This will pass, now I believe prices will not be back to pre-pandemic levels until all of the supply issues are worked out.

When I read your comment I thought it said "a war", meaning ANY war. I went back and reread it and discovered you said "THE war" as in the context of World War II.

This is just my H.O. BUT The trucking industry is WAY!!!! short of drivers. The company that I retired from is BEGGING for drivers. We have loads that should have been delivered weeks ago setting on the docks. The traffic mgr. turned in his notice.
