I've found that just being a senior citizen will get me a freebee cup of coffee, more so than trying to flash some ole credentials that says I'm a WuzzFuzz
Down here it's "washing machine at the boat launch" calibersAbsolutely! I'm always amazed at the number of "what caliber for bear" threads. How many people really encounter bears, or are in a position to encounter them, that it's such a big deal?
Rant over.

.22 long rifle is pretty much all you need.
If one does happen to shoot a black bear down here-it is wise to remove the tracking collar and throw it in the intracoastal. Otherwise it makes it easier to find the bear and like they say if there ain't no dead bear there ain't no crime. Now if you want to talk pig guns, I can tell you that a Browning High Power does the job nicely out of the window of a 1974 Ford Bronco. just keep shooting until he quits moving. Statute of limitations have long since run out on that little indescretion![]()

Be sure to wear your badge everywhere you go!
I would make the argument that there was no reason for the latter . . .
Dog’s problem is that he’s a previously convicted felon, so he’s limited to pepperball guns . . .
Just wear an FBI wind breaker. But seriously, what's to keep the bad guys from carrying a concealed carry badge so the cops won't shoot them?
CCW badges are a very bad idea. You will be investigated for impersonating a peace officer. Don't carry a CCW badge. I'm a retired CAL peace officer and have my retired badge. I do not carry it, just my endorsed ID card. A concealed weapon means CONCEALED! In over 40 ears of carrying concealed, no one has ever seen my concealed firearm.
I am now a licensed private investigator in CA. You are prohibited in this state from having a Private Investigator badge as well.
How many actual LEOs active or retired think showing a Concealed Carry Permit badge if involved in any kind of defense shooting is a good idea.
This topic has been discussed multiple times on this forum. I'm not aware of anyone ever saying it was a good idea. How many times are we going to have this discussion?
I have met a few officers that must have cheated on #8 or they they changed after they got he job.Want to carry a badge? No problem, follow these simple steps:
1 - fill out application
2 - take written exam
3 - take physical exam
4 - submit personal integrity form
5 - submit to background investigation
6 - take polygraph
7 - take medical exam
8 - take psych exam
9 - get interviewed
10 - receive job offer, if you made it this far
11 - 18 weeks of academy training
12 - graduation day, here's your badge...and good luck, your going to need it
If your not willing to follow these simple steps, then leave the badges to those that are and the kids.
Lots more times.
If we only talked about each topic once and never again the forum would soon run out of topics and shut down for lack of use.
By the way, I think 40 S&W is the best caliber for self defense and no more time and money should be wasted manufacturing 9mm or 45 acp.
