Hello from France,

Mrs Catherine, my sports shooting club secretary still has her dad's S&W 622 with which she learns to shoot with him.
Unfortunately she can no longer use it because recoil guide plug broke.

We called gunsmiths in France, impossible to find this new or used part.
There are no weapon parts breakers in France.

I appeal to the S&W community, can you help us find this part in the United States and accept sell and ship to France?
I really need your help all
Thank you all, God bless you.

Best regards,

Jean Marc

I had a couple of these break on a 2206, I don't think S&W makes them anymore. Not much to it, any good machinist should be able to make one.

Brownell's ships internationally. You may want to see if they can source the part (Midwest Gun Works has them) and get a dealer in your area to work with them to get it shipped to you.

Thanks Marvin,

Brownells France closed the shop recently, after several years French customers reported problems with orders and the lack of seriousness of the leaders...

I will try to contact Brownells Benelux and Brownells Germany...

Smith and Wesson might still have them, part number 108200000.

Gun Parts & Firearm Accessories | Numrich Gun Parts shows out of stock for the 2206 guide plug, but the 422 uses the same plug and it shows in stock.

Functionally they are the same, but one is stainless steel and the other is blued carbon steel.
Thanks Skjos,
The part is available at NUMRICH: Recoil Guide Plug, New Factory Original | Gun Parts Corp.

It remains to be seen whether they will agree to sell it to me and ship it to France...?

Thank you hbertmank,

I researched this solution, we have a few good precision machinist companies in my area, but they are not interested in wasting time working on such a small single part...:(

If you can get the part, I would recommend changing the recoil spring too. Couldn't hurt since the plug seems to be a weak point.
