Right now -11. Wind chill -37. But the wind chill now is reported to be way colder than it was when I was a kid. Kind of refreshing out there!
So how cold is it outside?

Right now in KC it's -4, high today will be -1 as it warms up. Wind chill is -27.

Nah, I'll take 2 days of bitter cold compared to 4 months of stupid hot, that's why I left Tucson in 1984 lol.
Gosh, it's only -15 here. Heavy winds. Wind chill is -48.
We had -26 on the east side of the Big Horns in northern Wyo yesterday with wind chill at -42. Brisk. I grew up in the Big Horn Basin of northern Wyoming, though, where temperatures are more extreme, often going from -40 (real, not wind chill) or so in the winter to 110 in the summer so this doesn't really seem all that bad. We're warming, now, though. Skies are clear and we're up to -12 last I looked.

It's nice where I am in Mexico today, but the edge of the cold air is expected in the next 24 hours.
Compared to some of you in the middle of the country, it's downright balmy here. It was 6 deg at sunup. Just broke 20 deg. A few inches of snow on the ground and the roads are covered with "snice."
We're rxpecting wind chills of -15 here in southcentral PA. My extended family and I are going to be playing Groundhog for the next couple days.
Up early,got a good fire going and back to bed for a few hours. Peaked out the window at 10,it was -11 with a windchill of -25 and the girl next door was almost done shoveling! She beat me again!!

14 here right now with a windchill of -2. That's pretty darned cold for the southern edge of the High Plains. Supposed to be 10 tonight, they now say. Won't get back above freezing until Saturday afternoon (barely).
Fortunately, it's a dry cold this time.
