Would generators work for us apartment dwellers ?
I have about 15 (!) flashlights-most bought at thrift shops, several hand lanterns, 8 battery powered table lamps, they come in handy.

I would recommend something like a echo for like I have that you just plug your refrigerator into and maybe your stove. We have USB rechargeable lanterns that will light up most of our apartment and last for about 12 hours.

We also have a Rise Infiniti solar power bank that will recharge the batteries on the lanterns.

And I'm going to suggest again, especially in an apartment, you do not want to be the only guy in the complex with power
