Anyone every tried them? 8 shot ? Kinda like dropping hot spaghetti in the 8 charge holes at once.
Observations.?( yes. 38 short colts do have them beat . But kinda digging the accuracy and 38 cal hole puncher ) big clean holes.
Since speed wasn't a factor, shooting bullseye. All I did was sit the wadcutter moonclip on the cylinder and wiggle with my wrist on the grip. They all inserted like that. But willing to hear any hints that anyone has tried.
I know , I know. Moonclips with wadcutters feel like "square peg round hole" type of a moment.
But was getting amazing hits!!

I found a picture that I don't remember taking with some plated ones. I don't remember them being more accurate than the .358" that I'm using now. Those are very accurate. But I guess sometimes it depends on the gun.
I think it would be worse with a speedloader. 20250624_152500.jpg

The ones I'm making now, from my past " 38 wadcutter " thread are around 1.180" ( I think)

And look like these. 20250722_143654.jpg

They have a tiny head peaking out, and somewhat helps.

Are those Missouri Bullets WCs? I seat mine at the top groove so I have a tad more sticking out.

I have most of a case of 1991 vintage Winchester Western .38 Special wadcutters. The W-W brass does not fit into moonclips so I'll be using my 5 Star speedloaders with loading block. Most of my .38 Special reloads are in mixed brass so they too will be used in speedloaders. I plan to go back to the revolvers for Steel Challenge and have only recently begun to keep the R-P brass segregated for moonclips.
