I was watching this old western on You Tube just to see him use a S&W. He carried a New Model Three in a typical Hollywood fast draw rig. Robert Culp was a shooter and I believe this was his personal gun because he also carried it in Hannie Caulder. I don't know if it was .44 Russian or 44-40. 44-40 would make more sense because of the blanks. In Hannie Caulder he wore a long barreled Adams real low on his strong side and horizontal on his belly for extreme crossdraw was his S&W in a little holster that just covered the frame. And man could he use it!
In an episode of the Rifleman he was a bad guy and proved himself to be a first class gun twirler with a Colt. He just died a month or so ago. RIP Robert Culp. You were one cool customer. Here is a glimpse of his S&W.

Yes, he was very cool. I remember reading a story about him being more and more pro 2a the later he got in life.

I met him at a Walmart in Calfornia of all places. He had stopped by to pick up something. I introduced myself while waiting for the cash register and told him I had admired his talents. He was a gentleman and we talked of life in general and how slow the cash register girl was!!

I recall that New Model Russian and the show.

He's probably best remembered for his asociation with Bill Cosby and the movie, "Bob and Carol and Ted and Alice."

I'm glad to hear that he liked guns. Wouldn't have guessed. But most actors don't dare admit it if they like guns.
