Ball bearing grease on the slide. Synthetic motor oil on the barrel. The combined price is $10 and will last for years. Doesn't smell as minty fresh as FrogLube but works great and doesn't bust the bank.
I have both mentioned guns, less the Apex kit in my Glock. Just like you, I'm in CA, so my SD9VE is the CA version.
The reset on the Glock is shorter than the SD9VE. Not by much.

Just got my CA SD9VE yesterday, with all of its LCI glory!
Actually the LCI doesn't bother me one bit. I've owned the Sigma 9VE AF. The trigger on the SD9VE is like butter compared to that one.
Looking forward to taking it to the range next week.
Cheers.

After a long wait, I pick up my California SD9VE next week. Yeah the extra "features" are superfluous but I've been eager to get this gun since it was announced.

You do realize you came to a S&W forum to ask if a S&W product is better than a Ruger product. Although I do agree with all the views stated above, we are a little biased :-)
That being said, I've owned an LC9. I had multiple feed issues with the gun. I called support. They told me keep on...
I too sold my Sigma. An original AF model to boot.
I miss it because it was my first gun. Not for any other reason. I went to a Sig and now a Glock. I shoot better with these, but miss that old lady.

Hey guys,
I got an Allied Forces Sigma 9VE for sale. I figured I would offer it to the people who love this gun the most. So if you want another Sigma, or know someone who wants one, well here it is.
Bought it last year. Have fired about 400 rounds through it. Not happy that I have to sell...
