Model 60 Pro -- Correct Sight Picture

Thanks OKFC05, OK...so nothing changes for night sights. That is what I figured, but why have a small little night sight insert that you can't even see when using a normal sight picture? Is it just a gimmick? I tried to take all the variables out of the equation before coming to my...

Model 60 Pro -- Correct Sight Picture

Hi Folks, I bought a Model 60 Pro last year that I like a lot. It is a great all-around firearm and a pleasure to shoot. The problem I am having is with determining the correct sight picture for this particular handgun. FYI...The gun has a 3" barrel and it's front sight is a pinned ramp...

Does 3 inch j frame fit in a front pocket

I have a 3" Model 60 Pro and there's no way it will fit in my pocket...way too big.

Upgrading, which Droid is the best (and why)

Another vote for the Droid X. I've had it for 6 weeks now and it is by far the best phone I have ever had.

    Pro Series Model 60

I also really liked the Model 60 Pro and bought one last Monday. The fit and finish is outstanding. I really like the finish, but will have to wait a few years to see how it holds up. As others have said, I like the ergonomics...best I have seen on any new revolver and the 3" barrel makes it...

Price Check Model 67 (no dash)

I hear you C.W.!! I know I wouldn't be disappointed if I bought this gun. And I know it would be fun to clean it up and show it off. But, I'm not an impulse buyer...although sometimes I wish I was. I really appreciate all your comments. I'll think on it this weekend and see what happens...

    I blinked...good buck.

That would be way better than decent where I hunt in West Virginia. Isn't the rut season a blast?

    What one to buy?

I've been where you are and looked at a lot of the same guns. I ended up with a 3" Model 60. I found it was much easier to carry in the outdoors, versatile in ammo selection, very accurate, and able to double as a CCW. IMO, it is as close to an "all purpose handgun" as there is. Plus, there...

Price Check Model 67 (no dash)

I also like the idea of taking a well used gun, putting some new grips on, taking some Mothers Mag Polish to it and turning it into a great looking stainless gun for future generations to enjoy. I have looked at the tread titled "Model 67-1" and noticed some of those prices. It is hard for...

Price Check Model 67 (no dash)

Thanks for the comments. I must be learning something, because I had the same thoughts about this gun as you guys...a shooter grade with a fair price of about $300. I am not really tempted to buy it at this time, but I am sure it would be a great shooter. What would the gun be worth if...

Price Check Model 67 (no dash)

In the past few months I've learned a lot about collecting old revolvers from you guys, but I'm still trying to learn more. Here's one for you to look at and comment on that I came across today in a pawn shop. I'm new at this, but I think it's a 4" Model 67 (no dash). It locks up solid as a...

    Model 66

Thanks for the update. I almost bought a 4" Model 66-4 yesterday, but bought a new 3" Model 60 Pro instead. I can't wait to get to the range this weekend.

choosing a s&w revolver for a green beret for ccw.

Again, you don't give a time frame for the story...but the current Model 60 Pro with 3" barrel is really sweet.

    Request Advice for New Purchase

Thanks again to "scooter123"...you make some excellent points and give me more to consider. I really appreciate the time you guys take educate us non-revolver guys. At this point I am leaning towards the Model 60 Pro as a first buy. I think it is closest to an all-purpose type of revolver...

    Opening a Shop

Overhead, taxes, and insurance will be the limiting factors. If you can get a handle on those expenses you may be able to break even or make a little profit. But it will be really hard to make any significant income.
