Just about the perfect revolver.
Indeed.
I've always wondered how so few of these and the M66 3" ended up being produced...

Just about the perfect revolver.
Saw that auction, the price went just a little higher than I expected.
Congratulations!
Congratulations on picking up this 19-2 3 inch! You made your mind up and did not hesitate when bidding on it. They don't show up often for sure. I do have one question. You mentioned that it was a knife fight which you won. Did you make it out without injury or do you have some cuts/lacerations that are still healing?
Take Care

That's a nice one... I"m down to one, and if I'd of known how much these would escalate in value over the years I'd of kept all three...

Yeah I figured it would and fortunately I can write this off since I'm in the firearms instructor business.
A .357 Combat Magnum nearly identical to yours, but shipped in 1966.

Hey guys new to your community but not new to online forums.
I thought I'd open up here with a recent acquisition via a pretty good Gunbroker knife fight. I have a pretty serious fetish for 3" K frame and I swore if I ever saw another 3" 19 it would be mine. Very happy with this one as it doesn't even have a turn line.

Enjoy!

O/P, great first post, thank you.
Do you know if your 3" M-19 was in the group that was ordered and shipped to the California Division of Narcotics? My Godfather was issued one of these, Many years ago. I have no idea where it ended up..
Please enjoy having a very real Smith and Wesson treasure .
No sir I don't know the provenance but plan on getting it lettered.
And just a few more pics. The Magnas on this are flawless.
OP great first post, BUT nobody likes a show off. You've set the bar way to high! The big question is will you shoot it or relegate it to safe Queen status? Congrats on a great find.
Wow!!!! I couldn't resist. I searched GB. You really wanted that gun. Guess that answers my question about shooting it.
