I recently spent 20 dollars on sandpaper and 13 dollars on cold bluing supplies and did my best to bring back to life a mistreated classic that had been Duracoated. It was the best 33 bucks I have ever spent. Did I mention a little elbow grease involved?

Great job! What grit sandpaper did you start with & then finish with? Did you polish by hand or use a machine?
Just wondering, because I've always wanted to find a lost cause and make it a project.
Thanks for posting!

That "Elbow Grease" is impressive. Excellent job!

I did it all by hand, starting with 400, 600, then 1000 and 1500 grit sandpaper. Doing as I was told, to keep the flat spots flat and the round spots round.
