35 Rem

Here's another question. Does anyone know if the lee classic cast turret can handle full length resizing of rifle cartridges?

I know Lee presses will handle all full length sizing of an cartridge you are capable of buying standard 7/8-14 dies for! I prefer other presses but Lee will do it. I load 117 different cases ( I loaned my 244/6mm Rem. dies out and will never see them again), all but 2 will work in a Lee press.

Thanks Ivan.

On a side note, I scored big time (in my opinion). Yesterday while my brother was at work he said that one of his coworkers had the same exact gun I do (336 in 35), so for the heck of it I asked him if he would ask his coworker if he possibly kept his brass and if he'd want to sell it. Well today I meet up with my brother and he gave me a brown paper bag and said this was from Jim (his coworker). In the bag was 5 boxes of Winchester 35 Remington brass. I got 100 pieces of brass for nothing! I owe them big time!

If you're loading for a rifle with a tubular magazine, all bullets will need to be crimped in place. This means that the length of sized cases must be uniform or you risk bulging the case shoulders when you crimp which will make chambering the loaded rounds difficult or impossible. That said, be sure to run all newly loaded rounds thru the action to ensure they will chamber correctly. 30-30 WCF and .35 Rem cases are very thin and easy to damage when loading so check your ammo before heading to the range or into the woods.

With regard to case lube, Hornady One Shot (aerosol can,not pump spray) really works well.
Good luck with yor .35 handloads.

I ended up getting hornady unique as they had it locally cheap enough. Have everything I need, just have to set up the dies and tumble the brass and I'm ready to go!

??? I have never heard of "Hornady unique"; would that be Alliant's Unique powder? If so the 45th edition of Lyman's loading manual has a load for every cartridge with Unique. It may have to be cast, it may be slow, nut everything can be loaded with Unique! I have about a pound left in an 8 pound keg as I use it for 28 gauge shotgun loads. It truly is unique!!

Hornady unique is a case lube.

I also have alliant unique powder. I like it even though some complain it's dirty. I clean my guns every time I shoot anyway.

Unique case lube comes in a little tub and is a white grease. Actually mostly lanolin I think. Forster used to sell another little tub of that white lube but it was pure lanolin and a better lube in my opinion... and skin crème/cream. Most of the spray lubes have lanolin in an alcohol based liquid. Have to wait for them to dry before use.
