I am taking my CCW class next week and am considering carrying my nice 4013 mostly because of being able to carry it "on safey", however, I am not a big fan of the trigger - it really seems to have lots of play. (I wish it had the trigger of my Sig DAK...) Maybe I just need more range time with it to get used to it.

Can a reputable gunsmith work this trigger and is i worth the money it would likely take to lighten and tighten it somewhat?

Thanks from a novice.

Well I had the 4013 TSW and simply replaced the factory hammer spring with a lighter Wolff. It smoothed out the trigger and made the trigger pull approximately 20% lighter. Fired all makes of 40 perfectly......including range reloads. As far as takeup it isnt going to help
