9/11

Twelve years ago during a visit to NYC, my wife and I ate and had a glass of wonderful wine at the Top of The World. I want to cry when I think that wonderful resturant is no more.
The though of a mosque anywhere near the sacred site fills me with rage.

This is a bit off course but being 9-11 I'll pass it along. I have a friend of many years, Bob Newman whose B.D. is Sept.11th. He was in the Navy during WW2. Bob turned 90 today, I called him & he said he's doing fine. God Bless fine men like Bob. And God Bless the USA.

Harrison, I am strongly with you on this. For me, and granted my experience with 9/11/01 is not every man's, but building a mosque so close to the WTC site is synonymous with the thought of building a Shinto temple near Pearl Harbor in 1950, (How do you think that would have gone over?) The timing is horrible for this mosque & to honest it may be a sick joke effectively forever to those who gave some & for those that keep the memory of those who gave all.

But the mosque is necessary for the most intolerant of people to teach the most tolerant people on earth to be more tolerant.

That may explain why the Empire State building was lit up Thursday night in celebration of the end of Ramadan when they wouldn't do the same for Mother Teresa.
