A customer walks in on an armed robbery in Philly...

Don't know the whole story, but if a gun was being pointed at me, I'd have to think mighty long and hard about whether it would be wise to try to draw and shoot. Glad it worked out for the customer. Maybe the dirtbag got distracted and there was a window of opportunity.....

I thought about this also. My best guess is that the deceased thought the shooter was getting out his cell phone to give it to him, and he was mistaken.

Caj, I had stopped at that same store a few months ago after leaving the Kenner Gun Show. As I was walking up to the door the parking lot was swarmed with ATF agents and local officers. They took down a car occupied by several folks and arrested all of them. It looked like they had been straw buying AK's and AR's at the show. Further down the page in your newspaper there is an article about auto burglaries in a couple of the nicer subdivisions. My brother and fellow forum member "Louisiana Joe" lives at Ashton Plantation and his security cameras picked up photos of three suspects, one of which was trying the doors on his cars. He shared these with the local LEO's.

Glaser said investigators were still piecing together the full story behind Sylla's robbery, but that Sylla did everything that police recommend people do to survive a hold-up. And the chief said he was horrified that it didn’t save Sylla’s life.

I guess the police chief is so naive that he doesn't believe that there are evil people in the world that do evil things just because they are evil. Larry
