After a search I see that it's been a while since we've seen some nice Sambar Stag on the forum. I'd love to see what you've got - either on a gun or a knife.

After an extensive search I finally found this set of nicely aged stocks for a 2.5" Python and I think they look pretty fantastic!

I agree, they look quite, quite nice.
I've been around guns for 65 years and just recently acquired a taste for sambar stags. I wish I would have done so earlier when they were somewhat affordable. I will say that my first set was very inexpensive as they came on a very under-priced K22, but they were the ones that gave me the disease.

Here are a few I have in the stable.

K22 1947 vintage (also have the walnuts numbered to the gun):

An old Colt with Eagle Sambar stags, costing almost as much as the gun and not improving accuracy.

I gave this model 19 to my son with custom German stags on it. I paid $219 for the revolver with standard grips at Whittakers in Kentucky a little while ago when we were feeding the carps in the pond opposite of the shop. The kids were little then:).
