When I started in 61 I carried a Model 10 and 2 drop cartridge boxes and a pair of cuffs. Did have a flashlight and a baton in the squad. Just the basics were issued back then. When I retired in 88 carried enough to sink a small boat on my belt.

Yes I remember well when I started in 73. The sheriff issued a badge and cap device every thing else you bought yourself. In 79 when I had to take my medical retirement the sheriff started to issue revolver gunbelt and holster double drop boxes

My uniform from 2006 is to big now. I can get into my 1974 issued uniform! But I can't wear it! Have my 686 and the leather. Don't remember what I did with the dump pouches. Wish I had them now.
