Amazon Prime - Opinions?

My wife got it for us. Like it. Easy returns also. Free shipping in our area is about three days. They had some amazing buys on black Friday and around Christmas.

Was looking at a votex magnifier for my strike fire ii yesterday. 199 at cabelas , 169 and free shipping at amazon prime

host, i absolutely guaranty that amazon will give you a refund.
they will bend over backward to give you a fair deal.
i bot a garden cart that was missing a nut. i called them n they said i should return the whole thing.
i said that's ridiculous for a 25 cent part.
so, they credited my account for$5 n i found a nut that fit in my tool box.
then i bot lobster that they advertised as a different amount. it. was like $40.
they credited my account for the whole amount n told me to keep the lobster free

I think I'll keep it for now. You guys got me looking around on Prime and it really does have a lot to offer that I didn't even know I needed.

I love it, I got a notice that I had saved $400 in shipping charges last year alone. If you are a student its like half off.
It is easier to buy most things and wait two days than having to get in the car and go to the store.
I am usually not in a big hurry to get some thing and two days is fine. If I need it now I go to the store.

One thing not mentioned about Amazon Prime is you can share it. My daughter, son and I are all using the same prime account, even though my son lives 700 miles away.

One reason Amazon is able to ship so quickly is they are putting warehouses in multiple locations throughout the US, and a lot of times, the item you buy is shipped from within your state. The down side is you also have to pay sales tax, but you would have paid that if you bought locally so it's not a big item, plus chances are you paid less for the item, so the tax is corresponding lower.

As others have said, Amazon Prime is more than just free and fast shipping. At $99 a year, and at least in my case, divided 3 ways, it's a true bargain.

Prime is a great for me

Batteries AAA / AA ... Solution for Contact Lenses ... (for my wife... i think she drink it lol) lot of daily use stuff... small stuff
for this is fantastic. Here cost 20€ (21$ i think) for year.

I just loathe any website that develops a two tiered customer service plan. Many are proud to say they are "PRIME" members at Amazon. The company has made it impossible to even buy many items unless you are Prime. Also, many are paying too much for their items because of their loyalty to their Prime accounts. This is a discriminatory marketing plan, as it establishes classes and if you want first class service, you have to pay!

I bet they rake in those $100 annual fees with a automatic renewal plan as well. I also bet that most people are losing money by being Prime members or the company would not continue the plan. I quit shopping at Sportsman's Guide for the same reason as they also penalize those who decide not to join their club and regular priced goods are mostly overpriced. When I cannot put together a $49 order or am prohibited from buying a "Prime Member Only" item on Amazon, I just go elsewhere to shop and many times get a better price with shipping included.

Personally, I am proud to continue to be a second class Amazon shopper.

A few weeks ago I bought a cell phone case for around eight bucks and paid no shipping, what really frosts my butt is when you go to buy something for eight or ten bucks and they want 6.95 for shipping.

Susieqz's positive experience with Amazon refunds is similar ours.

Wife has only requested a return one time-- a cheap knife. It wasn't defective, it was just a cheap knife and she didn't like it. No surprise since I told her it was junk when she said she ordered it :D. Anyway... Amazon refunded the purchase and told her to keep the knife.

I had one only Sunday USPS Amazon delivery.
It was like weird!
These folks slog through rain, sleet and snow.
They don't usually swing by on Sunday.

My Daughter has it and likes it.
The next time I punch the Amazon buy button, I think I'll try it.

If your daughter has it, you may be able to use it as well. There are limitations if you do and you may not get all the benefits but you will get the free shipping. That's the way it used to be and maybe it's changed now. Worth a try though.
