Does anyone here have a name and address for the CEO or Director of Operations for Smith & Wesson? I feel compelled to write a letter.

Thanks for your help.

I have sent the CEO of S&W 3 emails to his published company email address and I have received a grand total of 0 responses from him or his secretary or the janitor. Best of luck...........

I believe you might have better luck contacting someone in their Media group.... you know, the people that "should be concerned" about what their customers think. :D

It would be very interesting to have a real phone conversation with whoever the experts are at Guns & Ammo magazine that decided the S&W Body Guard 2.0 earned their "2024 Handgun of The Year". What criteria, quality level, innovative design, warranty, and customer service did they use?

I don't have enough information to know how Guns & Ammo obtains the weapons they classify as Handgun of the Year...Do they buy off the rack? Do they request the weapon from the manufacturer for testing?? Or do they actually visit the manufacturer and use their test range in association with the manufacturers management staff.......

It would make a world of difference....if the manufacturer is supplying the weapon I am sure it went through a 100 point QC inspection before being shipped.......If on the other hand G&A purchased blindly off the rack they got a good one instead of a bad one........

I got one that's been trouble free. It's high on my list of best gun purchases ever made.

you are a lucky man, from all the post about problems and you got a good one. If I bought a BG2 took it to the range, put a couple hundred trouble free rounds thru it I would run not walk to buy lotto tickets.

Well, I had one minor problem with a tight chamber, which I remedied right away and NOW it's trouble free.

I did a plunk test before I had 50 rounds through it. None of the eight different ammo would pass. I went to the range and shot less than 50 rounds. At home I cleaned and lubed it and all the ammo passed the plunk test.

For those with trouble free Bodyguard 2.0's, what are your dates of manufacture/shipping (on the box)? Mine is 6/19/24 and I've had the feed ramp ridge (FTF) issue, recoil spring assy issue and impossible to load 12 round magazine issue.

On the recoil spring assy issue, I recently received my third RSA from S&W and it's still the same as the original. I've gotten better at re-seating the spring under the rod. I can do it with my thumb nail now. It's a pain having to do it but I think the RSA is sound except for that issue. It doesn't look like S&W has a fix yet - they always seem so surprised when I call.

S&W is still quoting a 4-6 week turnaround for their repairs.

Born on date of 7/3/24. Has the feed ramp ridge that I have left untouched. No problems other than getting the 12th round in the magazine without a loading tool. I have shot Winchester White Box jacketed flat point, Federal FMJ, Blazer Brass JRN, Buffalo Bore hard cast, Underwood hard cast, and Underwood 68 grain XD, plus handloads of JRN, Jacketed flat point, and 68 grain XD. I did have a couple of light primer strikes with some handloads, but the new Starline cases have tight primer pockets and CCI primers are tough to seat in them. I don't hold that against the gun.

Where are you guys finding these dates on the box? I can’t seem to locate anything on mine.
