Another Far Side.....

The big cat photos reminded me of one of my all-time favorite "Far Side" cartoons. A ring of huge cats are sitting on stools around a circus ring, while the lion tamer postures in the center, cracking a whip and firing a revolver.

The lion in the foreground turns to the cat next to him and says, "He's using blanks--pass it on."

Bear trainer with bears in muzzles wearing clown hats and unicycling. One of the bears off to the side pulls his muzzle off and tell the next bear, "Well hey! These things just snap right off!"

We're back.
Had a very pleasant day drive and visit.
My Mom and sister are doing fine.
My sister got me a birthday present, I promised to not post what it was.
Looks like I'll be needing some .22 ammo.

Even though I'm two pages too late, here's mine.

Did I mention that I really like coconut macaroons while I clean my guns!

One of my buddies mentioned he had a habit of munching on pistachios while he cleaned his firearms,
but since they're on the expensive side, he hadn't bought any in a long time.
I figured his guns where really dirty by now, so I picked up a bag for him.
He laughed when I handed them to him, saying he could now commence work on his shotguns.
