Annoyed at thread drift

The drift is doing well tonight! 😄
Lots of subject matter, some even discernable as to content, some humerous, some serious, some healthy, some great sounds and some just drifty! 😎

Where seldom is heard a discouraging word,
And the skies are not cloudy all day.

Where the air is so pure, and the zephyrs so free,
The breezes so balmy and light,
That I would not exchange my home on the range,
For all of the cities so bright.

The Red man was pressed from this part of the west,
He's likely no more to return,
To the banks of the Red River where seldom if ever
Their flickering campfires burn.

How often at night when the heavens are bright,
With the light from the glittering stars,
Have I stood there amazed and asked as I gazed,
If their glory exceeds that of ours.

Oh, I love these wild flowers in this dear land of ours,
The curlew I love to hear cry,
And I love the white rocks and the antelope flocks,
That graze on the mountain slopes high.

Oh give me a land where the bright diamond sand,
Flows leisurely down in the stream;
Where the graceful white swan goes gliding along,
Like a maid in a heavenly shower ! 😇

* Home On The Range - The lyrics were originally written by Dr. Brewster M. Higley of Smith County, Kansas in a poem entitled "My Western Home" in the early 1870s.

Extra Large Tall was required for me at 6' 1 1/2" 220 pounds in the early 1990s. Now days 6' 1 1/2" is right on the border between regular and tall. I still need the XL for my shoulders and chest. I also need a 36" sleeve. After dropping 90 pounds in about eight months, I have fluctuated between 192 to 202 pounds for a year. I want to do the bounce between 185 and 190, but I've got the rest of my life to get there. My BP is under control with no meds, I have twice the raw strength I had, and five times the endurance I had two years ago. Snubby and BCC inspire me to get serious again about getting into shape. :)

Wow - the power of the DRIFT!! kw, it was you and Snubby who got me in gear and ready to dump the weight I didn't need. There's nothing like encouragement!

Overnighting at a Flying J, just over the Idaho boarder in Oregon. Trucks are rumbling. This is only the second time we've done this, local weather for the rest of the trip required A/C to get through the night.
Oregon still has pump jockies! I think I under tipped, he did Timmber Wolf the wonder coach windshield and I put over $100 into the tank.
FJ has a "Flying J" restaurant instead of a Denny's? They have corned beef hash on the menu, worth staying the night for breakfast. Busy place even at 2100 local time aka tomorrow morning just after midnight EDST!

Whose laptop is still on FL time, did you know it's always after 5 in Marquita ville?

It's late. 2:10 am

I knew I should've napped today. Oh well. It's part of accepting I'm getting old.

I'm going to try to watch TV for another hour or so, if I can find anything on. It amazes me, that we have 375 channels (Direct TV) and nothing on but garbage. I refuse to watch the news propaganda.

Good Night! Sleep Tight! And Don't bite any bed bugs! They probably taste ucky!

Good morning all. It's 81 degrees, 88% humidity, for a feels like temperature of 88 degrees. I wonder if the feels like temperature is determined with pants on or pants off? Maybe BigRide knows. All this heat and humidity make it hard for my Map My Walk app to get a good GPS lock for the starting point of my morning walks. Last week it has not been getting a good fix until I get away from all buildings and trees. It's irritating when it announces that I just completed one mile in 21:42, and I know I'm at the 1.25 mile point in my walk. Oh well the walking is for exercise and to protect mankind from hordes of evil creatures. Not about the approval of an electronic device. Time for another dose of fluids and I'll be a walk'n down the street. Each of you have a great day!

On the trimmer thing, I have a Troy built 4 stroke that I bought 4 or 5 years ago that starts & runs good, though I don't use it very much. I designed my yard so I get pretty much all of it with the rider. I'm back in the woods anyway so while I keep the yard mowed it would not be considered a showplace. In my neighborhood if you don't find a car mowing the lawn it is one of the nicer ones in the area.
I saw the band Chicago mentioned again. I liked their music back in the 70s. I went & saw them live in the early 90s at a fair near here and they were not good. I don't know how many of the original band members they had but the guitar player was not good at all.

Truck stops with "real" restaurants are getting few & far between. Iron Skillets at Petro stops are good.

Good Morning:

Very cloudy here in middle Tennessee. Rain expected today. Our yard and bushes, sure could use it.

So enjoy your day. Stay safe, play nice with others and if you feel like it and your in the mood, go ahead and Block the Interstate if you want too. No one will say or do anything about it. Just tell people your doing it for a cause. And disrupt those ole silly people traveling and truck drivers lives. Because we all know they are part of the problem??? Major SARCASM!

Went back to sleep and barely got to the shop on time! Probably feel drowsy all day now! In my opinion (you know everyone has one) when any demonstration breaks the law it is over and the authorities should start the arrests. Demonstrations that turn into mobs should be dealt with no matter who is demonstrating or for what reason. Drift on.

Good morning everyone,,,,Happy Monday!
Looks like it might be a nice day here for a change, 73 degrees and sunny and no high humidity? ;)
