I'm going to ramble here for a sec, imagine that;me rambling! Anyways, I've got this word game on my Iphone called Bookworm. It's pretty challenging for me & helps to keep the old noggin loose & weird. You have a grid of letters with which you try & form words, & once you reach a certain points level, you start getting bonus words that are worth a lot. And, to keep things interesting, whenever your points drop to low, a burning letter descends, & you have to use it before it reaches the bottom of the grid, or you lose.
Today I was visiting my Mom at the retirement center, and while we were waiting for her lunch to be served, she fell asleep, as usual. I started playing the game, and made something like at least fifteen moves to get a particular letter in place, when I slipped up & used that letter inadvertently. Before I could even think to censor myself, "***" popped out of my mouth, at pretty high volume. and I don't mean the word ***, I said it the other way. I attracted quite a bit of attention, from residents & staff alike. I enjoy that game a lot, but it is also infuriating. If I end up at the home with my Mom, that game will have had a lot to do with it, I'm sure.
*I see that the word was censored, so to stay within bounds & clarify what was said, I'll just say that the phrase begins with son.
