Good morning again drifters. Yes I'm still awake or at least I think I am. It's 44 degrees here in the desert at 07:00 down from the 55 or whatever it was a couple of hours ago. Pretty cool but will be better later. Anyway the sun is shining now and that is always a good thing otherwise I would probably be thrown out into space or something and that wouldn't be good.

If I had a lot of money today I would do something crazy but I don't so I won't. That narrows down the things that I will do today.

If all the muscles in the body could move at once a person could lift 25 tons* !!!
I am up to 6 oz. and not sure if I can do more? 😛
6oz. =cup of coffee 😕

*Ripley's Believe It or Not !

And, if you were an ant, you could lift ten times your own weight...This could come in handy. It means I could lift well over a ton...maybe not twenty five tons, but still a useful trait to have...:D

Good afternoon my fellow drifters!....Hope everyone is having a great Wednesday! :cool:
Sunny and 51 degrees in my neighborhood.
Just spent a good bit of time with a contractor to see about getting my deck redone / refinished. After about 22 years of good service it needs some face lifting and upgrading:rolleyes: Thinking about using that composit stuff, less maintenance for me and the next guy! Anyone here use the stuff and what are your thoughts?
It's funny how my deck has withstood the test of time but no longer meets the current code, funny thing is though when this was built it was built better then their code requires today....go figure? :rolleyes: I guess Township Engineers and their ilk know better.....Noooot!
Since I am repairing and not building I don't have to deal with them! ;)

Time to go and get some lunch....:D I worked up an appetite talking to this guy!

We replaced our deck last fall. Standard 4x6 posts, 2x6 uprights for the hand rail and 5/4 decking, all treated lumber. Turned out great. Still need to treat it with something after the wood dries out. They suggested we wait a year but I'm getting anxious.

Here in the Houston area with older models it requires the insertion of an emissions probe up the tailpipe, them emissions measurements are taken while idle and while running. A regular pain the the...
I am withholding comment on this post for fear of a timeout. However, my car has passed emissions testing. I have not, and if anybody tries to insert a probe...
