I'm baaaack! Hard to leave my deer lease but back to reality. Good food and company. Lotsa deer but no big one this trip. Didn't see any bears or penguins.
I know what you mean. I was out at my place last weekend and it was hard to come back.
8 deer, 4 turkeys and what my buddy said he thought spooked the deer before he could shoot.....a PIG! I hope he was wrong, kinda.
They're not supposed to be in mid-western Va. yet.
It's just a matter of time though, so he may have been right.
He never got a clear view of it, so who knows?
Oh yeah, one very healthy young black bear.

I would probably like snow, if I didn't have to move any of it.
Right now, it's like wet cement. Not just color wise. Weight wise.
Give it another couple of hours and a few more dropped degrees,
and it will be like dried cement. Bleh.
What will be amusing, is watching the cars go up E. Main.

We are getting our first snow right now. Big and wet so I'm glad there won't be much of it.
The only good thing about it is that its the first time our new pup has seen snow....very entertaining.

My mind drifted to turkeys for some reason today ,then next to pumpkin pie. Used to have a big German Shepard that ate three of my Moms big pumpkin pies off the counter when no one was looking. Everything that came out of it for a week was orange!

Of course! Didn't you know that's where the term "giving someone the bird" comes from. Some mistake it from coming from penguins but that's just silly.
