Well it's 102 this evening down from a warm 121 earlier in the afternoon. No dust storms and no hordes today so even though it was hot outside there was no attack from some sort of creatures.

Good morning all. It's in the mid 70s and muggy here in Houston. A quick look at the tropical weather page of the NWS indicates nothing of concern. Looks like everything is go for this morning's anti-emu scouting mission. I'll throw them off and leave a couple of minutes early. Each of you have a great day!

Great day today at Brookville lake.
Between the three of us we caught 20 Walleye (14 keeper size),
a dozen channel cats, 10 white bass, 1 crappie, 2 big bluegill,
and one carp of about ten pounds.
Fish fry this weekend. Tomorrow i go to the store for some cajun
seasoning. Just my opinion but i'll take fresh Walleye filets over
about anything. We slowly drifted and trolled using only the trolling
motor using small spinner heads tipped with night crawlers.
Had to keep the bait right on the bottom and wait for the tap, tap,
then pause for a second and set the hook.
Gorgeous day to be alive and on the water with friends.
Northerly wind (no humidity) and temps in upper 70's.

We kept an eye for any Emu submarine attacks but all
was calm on the lake today. I am preparing depth charges
for just such an attack next time.

Tired but going Kayaking tomorrow so off to bed with this
old geezer.

Great tunes today folks, Zeppelin, Creedence, Doors, BOC, and all
the great songs with cowbell. You all Rock !!!

Great report. I agree nothings better than fresh walleye fillets. I seldom have fishing days like that around where I live but occasionally when I'm camping in Northern Michigan. It's 43 here at 6:00am. Why isn't there a degree symbol on a keyboard?

So I finally put myself on a 9:20 flight instead of a 6 a.m. for a change. That way I won't have to wake up at oh-dark-thirty. So what time do I wake up, correct quarter to 5

Good morning all! Up and going and have my coffee so I am doing good! Have a class to go to tonight so it will be a long day today. The local news is really full of news that is not news this morning,I wonder where they get their journalism training? At least what little they report on Istanbul they call a terror attack. It is time to get after these bad guys who are threatening basically the entire world,the rules of engagement need to be revised in a major way. On a better note the Astros are hot and playing some good ball!

Had to turn the page so I could start a new one. Another quitting time soaking today,got another inch and a half in a half an hour but it really cooled things down for awhile! Some good music in the drift today. The county leaders here have come up with a plan to put the Astrodome back to use again. Tha taxpayers have been paying a fortune to have it set empty and unused for years and they claim it would cost 30 million to tear it down and the taxpayer would end up with nothing but the bill. It is a landmark building so I hope they get their act together. Nine acres of open space they reported. Drift on!

In 1972, hubby brought home the Torino 4-door version as a family car. He liked the motor, I hated the sight-lines to the rear. Huge C-pillar and tiny rear window made blind spots that were enormous.

Funny how some families had an attachment to a particular make of car. My uncle in Beaumont wouldn't buy anything but a Dodge.
My Dad bought mom Oldsmobiles and he was a Chevy guy. My Grandmother and Grandfather were all Ford.
