Annoyed at thread drift

There are many among us that have drifted too far...and wrought the consequences.

Those that survived have a story to tell.

I've been to the edge, an' there I stood an' looked down...
You know I lost a lot of friends there baby, I got no time to mess around...

Two hours doing snow clean up today. About 20 minutes to clean up the driveway and walk, 40 minutes to cut a trench through snow around the house so I could use the roof rake. Another 45 minutes cleaning the snow off the roof. The rest of the time just cleaning up here and there.

I hate snow, I hate winter.

How do you get up on the roof? Seriously.
There was a news story on one of the local stations today about how there aren't any snow rakes available right now. The genius reporter said that their "experts" say that if you can't find a snow rake, you should put rock salt in the gutters.
No word on how someone was supposed to get up there to do that. Since I have 4+ feet of snow in my yard, it didn't seem particularly safe to put up a ladder and climb up there.

I got a small electric snow blower for our roof!!!
no more shovelin fer this ol' chicken!!

(but that generator is damn heavy)

Man I really feel for you snow drift fellas! I don't think I could take those kind of drifts!

Houston would look good with 4 feet of snow! Besides, it would melt in a few hours and solve any drought problems too.

Actually, they'd love to have this snow up north in the ski areas. It's wasted down here.

It will give the news people something to talk about in the spring. Years we don't get snow, they scare us with drought stories. Years we do get snow, they scare us with flooding stories.

Ok, so I thought this thread would be the appropriate vehicle to use in order to straighten out some past indiscretions; in et:

1) I was wrong in my prediction of the Patriot's winning by 10 (but the Packers still choked in the NL Championship!).

2) The climatological change in the temperature of the ocean will result in much MORE snow in the NE!

3) That little "deal" with the "girlfriend" probably WAS my fault...
