Annoyed at thread drift

I am at work today. The plan is only a half day, but we'll see. I have a new Weber Kettle to assemble later and break in wit some meat. Then we will try to at least drive to the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. I don't know how crowded it will be late afternoon, but we will give it a try. I will probably hear or see the aircraft from work if they have a flyover. Depends on their flight path. We have in the past. Then maybe some frozen custard and a sunset on the porch. That's the plan anyhow.

Just drifting thru, pork tenderloin to grill later with portabella 'srooms and sweet peppers. But rain in the forecast, again.......
Avenue of Flags & Memorial Service was a sight to see, over 1400 flags in memory of deceased vets displayed at the local cemetery.
Took grandson back to the range yesterday with some different ammo for the 10/22 and he did awesome. So glad he gets to spend the summer with his Dad and be able to do "guy things"

Had a great day playing golf with my son today! The new Cobra golf clubs my family bought for me seem to work very well but need some getting use to. I am really impressed with the Hybrids in the set, I have never hit an iron or a driver as well as I seem to hit those!
Of course my son his very pleased with getting my hand me downs!
So now I guess we are all going to go out and have some dinner together!

Just checking the drift speed to figure out our current location ,spent the day helping my son clear some acres he bought not far from Cleveland,Texas. Hot nasty work,he sure has a big project. East Texas grows some really thick stuff and he has a bunch of fence line to clear,mostly yaupon and dammit vines but millions of mosquitoes. A good Memorial Day steak ,sweet corn on the cob,and grilled mushrooms and I am done for the day!

There I was sitting at the bar staring at my drink when a large, trouble-making biker steps up next to me, grabs my drink and gulps it down in one swig.
"Well, whatcha' gonna do about it?" he says, menacingly, as I burst into tears.
"Come on, man," the biker says, "I didn't think you'd CRY. I can`t stand to see a man crying."
"This is the worst day of my life," I say. "I'm a complete failure. I was late to a meeting and my boss fired me. When I went to the parking lot, I found my car had been stolen and I don't have any insurance. I left my wallet in the cab I took home. I found my wife with another man and then my dog bit me."
"So I came to this bar to work up the courage to put an end to it all, I buy a drink, I drop a capsule in and sit here watching the poison dissolve; then you show up and drink the whole thing!

Grilled some chicken beasts today. My wife mixed up some special BBQ sauce. It was good and spicy.

And I gots my veggie plants for plantin' this week.
My "pico-de-gallo" garden.
Tamaytas. Peppers. Onion sets.
Hadda lug the hose around the yard to water.
Prayin' for the folks in Texas who have had too much of that.

Spent the last day and a half at Ceaser Creek State Park with my mom (82) and 49 family members celebrating the memory of my father...MSGT Hayward Thompson (1926-1999) USA/USAF 1944-1966.
