Ojabiki. Obokobi. Ojibooki.
Whatever.

I've never been to Iowa and Pawngals hometown name has intrigued me since I first saw it.
I finally googled it and was quite surprised.

Apparently, there are more than just 5 Great Lakes! It seems Iowa has been hiding the fact that they have 5 more Great Lakes right there in Okoboji. :eek:

They've managed to to keep this fact hidden from geographers and the world at large forever. :confused:

And it has a teeming population of 807, including Ms. PG.

It looks like a good place to vacation. In the summer.
I was going to vacation in Belize this year, but I've changed my reservations. ;)

Here are some pics:
The obligatory post card.
A couple of lake shots.
The creatively named "The Inn". You mid- westerners are so daring. :D
And of course, Ms. Pawngal, herself, at the helm of a pawned 28'Fountain. Gotta make sure it's in good order.

Okoboji, here I come!

Gericault. What a funny guy!
The body laying in the foreground, face down, arm out stretched, is the painter Eugene Delacroix, who would succeed Gericault as Frances premier romanticist painter.
Delacroix was a barrel of laughs, too. His paintings include such cheery titles as;
The Death of Sardinpalas
Tiger Attacks a Horse
Lion Devouring a Rabbit
The Massacre at Chips

And my favorite;

Female Nude, Killed From Behind

Those Romanticists, always good for chuckle. :)

We spent a lot of time gettin' physical therapy at the local facility over the last three days. I'm a little sore but in a good way.
There was an unfortunate incident in the sauna on Saturday.
I've written about a fellow with Cerebral Palsy that comes by and uses the sauna, pool and hot tubs. He was our "ball Boy" for water volleyball on Saturday. The ball'd get knocked out of the pool and he'd go scootin' after it in his wheel chair.
Anyway, I found out that he had been molested in the sauna. He can't defend himself, he can't run away and he has trouble talking.
Some real human filth out there.
